    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Driggs Penny Loafer is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too small, too narrow Purchased this shoe in a 10D because I've purchased several pair of AE dress shoes in that size. The shoe fit tight and I expected it to stretch during first wear. It didn't. The heel dug into my Achilles so badly that I bled into the shoe. The shoes were so narrow and tight that they rubbed into the top of my feet. I cannot return the shoes due to blood in the lining and am now trying to stretch them to salvage them. Terrible purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Casual Loafer This is the perfect every day loafer. The heal is almost flat and less dressy. The sole is awkwardly chunky, but the all black version makes it blend in seamlessly. Perfect for a quick trip to the grocery store, sharp enough for happy hour or the office.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Maybe not the best choice for what I wanted from a casual loafer I wanted to replace a pair of De La Rentis penny loafers which served me well through a few years of regular wear - they were nice soft shoes with great padding and a flexible rubber (sneaker-like) sole that made them as comfortable as slippers from day one and great for throwing on for any occasion. These Allen Edmonds Driggs loafers are similar with the rubber sole - it looks thicker from the side but really the rubber is flatter on the bottom and just wraps up the side of the shoe more. Overall, I don't mind the look but I do wish the sole had more taper toward the end as it looks chunkier and feels heavier; also, it looks more like a woman's shoe with the thick sole emphasized as such. The upper part of the shoe, design-wise, is pretty basic looking even for a penny loafer as it has straight lines for the "penny" slot and less detailed stitching holding on the ends of that cross-strip of leather; the result is that it looks kind of cheap, even if it is of decent construction/materials. In terms of fit, I'm a pretty middle-of-the-road size 10, sometimes wearing 10.5 for tight fitting shoes (Adidas Sambas) or 9.5 for certain others (Timberlands and certain dress shoes). This is my first Allen Edmonds shoe so I used the fit guide on the website, which told me to go with 9.5. I decided to er on the larger side and went for a 10 but this shoe feels very tight out of the box. So far, it is not the type of penny loafer that I can slip on easily - it is a struggle and more of a shoe horn job. Once on the foot, it feels tight fitting to the point of being a bit uncomfortable. I have fairly slim feet but the midsection definitely feels constrictive against my arch (though the length of the shoe sees about right). I tried removing the insole, which made the shoe feel too loose. The whole shoe feels stiff for a penny loafer (even discounting the "new" factor), and doesn't feel like something I would just slip on and wear casually around town (getting it on is fussier than a tie-up shoe), yet it's not formal enough to be a dress shoe. Bottom line: I'm in a position where I'll have to decide if this shoe might break in and be more comfortable or if I should return. It's currently marked down to $100 from $275 but even at the lower price it might not be worth it for what I'm looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great deal I was able to purchase this loafer at $110 so it was a great bargain. It has all the qualities of a solid Allen Edmonds pair of shoe. Because the sole is a bit chunky and thick, I have this more as a summer pair, styled with grey shorts. Pairs well with the Allen Edmonds Hera black belt.
