STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

    Ask & Answer
Mcgraw Slip-on Penny Loafer is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stiff as a rock Fit me ok but are extremely stiff. Feels like there is a slab of concrete on the floor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't know what the fuss is about by some posters Some complained that the she is stiff, leather is dull and craftsmanship is poor !! I ordered 3 of the same shoe. Although not perfect, construction is within the AE standards and leather is the same. Some should understand that leather can be inconsistent with minor surface blemishes as not all cows are "made" the same way. Dullness is normal. It can be easily changed with a coat of shoe cream and polish. This also covers minor blemishes and makes them part of the natural beauty of leather. A perfectly hand made shoe will cost much, much more than what AE is selling these shoes for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are beautiful I have 6 pairs of Allen Edmands and maybe 5 or so pairs of higher than AE shoes. These are the best made of all the AEs, even better than dress shoes that are over 20 years old. They are comfortable, supremely made and beautiful. I can’t understand why anyone gave them a bad rating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Literally nothing like the pictures I bought a pair of these and they arrived today. The picture is a brown patina gloss that is gorgeous. The shoe they sent was a matte flat brown that looks like the vinyl on a 1977 Chevy Nova. I actually had to look online to see if they sent me the right shoe given it’s appearance. Allen Edmonds is falling from grace. Taking a craft manufacturer and turning it into a corporate mess. These are going back.

Your “All About Lasts” page does not list this 444 last. Can you provide a description of the fit for the 444 Last in comparison to tour other lasts?

    Asked by: Mark7
The Mcgraw shoes are made on the 234 last. The 234 is modeled after the 97 last for the best fit for the average foot, but with a less pronounced point and a subtly squared-off toe. Along with the 678, it’s considered one of the widest and roomiest lasts Allen Edmonds makes. Some people believe it runs a little long.

My true size is 9.5 regular width. Will size 9 in EEE width be comparable fit or not?

My question is specifically about substituting size for the McGraw Slip-on Penny Loafer and styles that are similar in fit. Thank you.
    Asked by: McGraw
We typically recommend that purchase the size you normally wear and judge the fit based upon how you feel inside of the shoes. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

What is the difference in the last

Each shoes says it is built on such and such last. How do you find out what that means
    Asked by: Bob
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry! At Allen Edmonds, we construct shoes on a wide variety of Last. Lasts are foot-shaped forms that provide shoemakers with a foundation for building a shoe. By selecting shoes manufactured on the Last that most resembles the contours and nuances of your feet, you can enjoy a superior fit while enhancing the performance and comfort of your shoes. Our shoes are constructed over each Last using three different methods, welted, handsewn and cemented construction. For additional information: -AE Consumer Care Dept.
