    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Verona II Italian Loafer is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 130.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, decent quality loafer! The Allen Edmond size predictor was very accurate, the size 9 fit me perfectly despite ordering online. The leather feels above average, and the shoe is comfortable with or without socks. There's a slight "jingle" sound as you walk from the horse bit but it's not loud enough to draw attention on a crowded street. Got lots of compliments the first day out with these!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs a full size too small Good quality, not the Allen Edmonds of old, but still good quality. , had to send back 2 pairs as they were too small. I wear a 10.5 and had to go to an 11.5 to get a good fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Shoes but run small I read all the reviews and saw majority of people say they run small. They do indeed run small. I wear a size 12 and the Verona II 12s were too small. Size 13 fitted perfectly. So order one size up. I also compared the Verona II 13 with a Penny loafer 12 and they measured the same size. I think this confirms that they run a size smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoes - Run Narrow I bought a pair of brown Verona II. I love them. They are comfortable for regular wear, and in my experience have no issues with excessive wrinkling; they still look great. Two things: 1. They are Italian bit loafers, and their construction reflects that. The leather is great at this price, as is the detailing. But the soles are thinner, as they should be in an Italian loafer. Thinner soles means more comfort and, in my experience, more "grip" on the ground. They will likely wear out faster than the Randolph, for example, which has a much thicker and Goodyear-welted sole. But they are a different shoe than the Randolph, and the Grayson, and the Acheson, and the Patriot, etc., etc. Again the Verona II is an Italian loafer. If you don't like Italian loafers, or their construction, perhaps consider looking more closely at another AE loafer as a better option. 2. These run narrow. In my experience they are significantly narrower, and have a snugger fit, than any of the loafers mentioned in the paragraph above - with Grayson perhaps being the closest comparator. Your results may vary, and I definitely recommend trying before buying. The only oddity on these is the black dots, which are painted black to create faux stitching painted on the soles - in addition to the actual stitches. I could've done without the black dots, but it's not enough to dim my view if the shoe. I am hopeful this review meets the new AE review "guidelines." In strip-mall-discount-shoe-outlet fashion, indeed true to its roots, the new management appears to be increasingly censoring customer feedback -- and as a result, appears to be publishing less reviews. In any event, the Verona II is a fantastic show

What Last are these loafers built on?

    Asked by: Anonymous
The Verona II is an Italian loafer and it is not made on our regular lasts. However, the fit is similar to the 65 last.

    Verona III?

Will you be coming out with a Verona III anytime soon? My friend bought the tan ones I was going to get and I can’t be wearing the same shoe.

Is it a leather lined interior?

It's hard to tell from the photos if it's leather lined inside, and the description doesn't appear to say anything about interior lining.

    This shoe is lined.

What size to order if you are normally an E width in AE shoes?

I wear a 10.5E in all my AE shoes. I have had a hard time finding a dress bit loafer in a wide size. I have seen reviews saying this shoe runs long and wide. I am thinking a 10 or 10EEE. Any thoughts?
    Asked by: James
I recommend going with the D. I am measured at an 11 E for size. I tried 10.5 EEE and 11 EEE and they were far too wide and big. Ended up with an 11 D which fits perfectly. The fit is snug but you want a loafer to be snug at first so you don't have your heel slipping as you walk. Hope this helps.

Why isn't this shoe available in A width?

Most of your great casual loafers are only available inn B, D, or EEE widths. The Grayson, a dress loafer, is about the only loafer available on A widths. There is a market for A width shoes.

Thank you so much for your interest in Allen Edmonds shoes! We would like to assure you that we do our utmost to offer a variety of sizes and widths. However, we are often compelled to provide traditional shoe sizes due to their consistent performance. We'd be happy to forward your recommendation to management to be able to offer a greater selection in the future.

Does this loafer in a D even come close to fitting a B or C foot?

    Asked by: The King
Well, the "D" size shoe is much narrower than a normal AE shoe, and I think it could be an excellent fit for a narrower foot. In my opinion, the Italian shoes are made to stretch, fit your foot more in line with a soccer cleat (they call them boots), and these are supposed to fit like slippers. The AE shoe is made with a "better" leather, and I think wearing them more often than I do will break them in, as well.

    Size differences by color?

I bought a brown and black pair of Verona II loafers. I notice size/fit differences between the two. The brown pair fit great right out of the box and the black pair is painful to wear. Both are 13 Ds.

Thank you for your inquiry! You'll find our shoes are true-to-size based on the Brannock Device. The length from the heel to the ball of the foot is the same for all lasts in the same size. With that being said, the shape of the toe or depth of the shoes may affect how a shoe fits or feels. If you need to exchange your shoes, please do so at any Allen Edmonds store. If you bought them online, you may also mail them back within our 90 day return policy. Please reorder at your earliest convenience since we only process refunds. We hope this information helps!
