    Fit

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

    LEATHER REPORT

    Vegetable-Tanned Calfskin

This ancient method for treating leather uses natural materials derived from tree bark and other plant matter in place of the harmful metals used in modern dye processes. The result is beautifully soft shades of leather like this bone color used for our Park Avenue Sneaker that will develop into a light brown over time through wear and exposure to sunlight.

A Hue That Changes with You

Starting as a creamy, off-white, your footwear will take on a color and burnish that are individual to you as you wear it and treat it with our shoe care products.

Chicago’s famed Horween tannery has been producing some of the world’s best leathers since 1905. It’s committed to keeping traditional techniques alive through processes that combine old-world craft with the latest innovations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK, but not what I expected I bought these shoes to wear on a vacation on which I anticipate lots of walking. Hoping that these were just what I was looking for, I ordered a pair. Heres what I've noticed so far. They're not as comfortable as I expected. They don't really feel like sneakers. The sole feels a bit stiffer than I'd expect for sneakers. On the other hand, I expect them to last longer than a pair of more traditional sneakers because the sole looks and feels tougher than what you usually get. And I found it a bit surprising that they're not as comfortable as my regular Park Avenues. I've walked as much as 10 miles in a day in both Park Avenues and Patriot loafers with no problems, both of which felt more comfortable out of the box than these did. On the other hand, having those rubber soles will probably be useful on vacation. They can probably tolerate rain better than leather soles can, so that's one less thing to worry about while traveling. So they're not what I expected, but they'll probably work well for their intended purpose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible quality and apparently no quality control I purchased these shoes online. Immediately upon opening the box I knew something was wrong. The leather near the laces was bent (it looks like the leather was folded). Also one shoe has several white stain marks on the black leather. At first I thought this was some type of shoe polish but it won’t come off. I have a pair of the “regular” sole Allen Edmonds(a couple of years old) and the leather still looks much better than this new pair. It honestly looks like there is absolutely no quality control. I don’t know how these shoes were allowed to leave the factory. I am extremely dissatisfied. I suggest that you do not buy these shoes online. Try them on in a store so that you know you are getting a pair that is not damaged

For the white sole there's no charge but for the black there is it's the same sole right what's the difference

    Asked by: Alpine
The difference is that one is a custom option and the other is not. The Park Avenue Sneakers are offered standard with a white sole and therefore offered at the base price. Any custom option selected beyond that has a custom fee applied. Custom shoes are manufactured on our Special Make-Up production line and each pair is handcrafted specifically for the customer that orders that custom combination. Thank you for your question.

Is the bone shoe a two tone color shoe?

    Asked by: Rob60
This is not a two-tone style, but due to the nature of the material slight variations in shade are normal and expected between different components, no two pairs will be exactly the same. In addition to that, this leather will change hue overtime with normal wear. You can learn more the Bone leather in the "Leather Report" section of this product page.
