  • Care

We believe a great pair of shoes or boots is always a solid long-term investment. To keep your favorite footwear in top form for years or even decades to comes, use our 4 Step Shoe Care Process and these essential products.

    1. Clean

Start by applying Saddle Soap with a Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth to remove stains and dirt from the uppers and bring up the leather's natural oils.

    2. Polish

Next, use a Horsehair Dauber to treat your footwear with Cream Polish which renews the color and luster of leather. Any time you want to achieve a truly glossy, high shine, you should instead apply Carnauba Wax Polish.

    3. Dress

Restore the color and surface of the leather on the heels and soles using Heel Dressing.

    4. Protect

Leather Lotion keeps uppers soft, supple and hydrated while a Horsehair Shine Brush is perfect for buffing your shoes to the desired shine. As a last step, spray on Water Protector to guard against harmful moisture and spills and use a Leather Dopp Kit to keep all your care products organized.

Liverpool Chelsea Dress Boot is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 165.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pair of comfortable and stylish boots This is a great pair of boots. They are comfortable and very stylish to wear. Delivery was prompt and the product arrived in excellent condition. I would recommend these boots to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking Shoe This is now my 11th Allen Edmunds. This Walnut Chelsea boot gets lots of looks. I have enough AEs, that I look like a shoe store, but this one in particular is very hip and I see people eye-balling this shoe for sure. It is a smooth leather with some darker color at the tip. This one is technically a little snugger than all the rest, but I guess that is on purpose? Had I been at the store, I would have tried on one size wider. Overall, another excellent shoe from AE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make her smile I typically don’t spend money on clothing in anything above the $100 range and if then it’s for training or sport. However, as I learned to pay attention to my style and the image I want to portray, I’ve learned to value a good shoe. Allen Edmonds was referred to me by one of my training partners. She told me that if you’re going to take your girlfriend out for her birthday wear these . I couldn’t be more impressed. The construction of the shoe thus far is very durable and holds up to my truly flat feet and wide width. I got the EE size and I feel that is just right . If I went with EEE it would’ve been too much . I get complemented everywhere I go that these are quality. I’ve yet to try another Chelsea boot but this one took me for a great ride and I’m thankful for the opportunity to catch the anniversary sale and invest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boots for Narrow Feet These are great looking, well made boots that I really wanted to keep but they were too narrow for my feet. I wear a 13E, but with these I obviously would have needed a 13EEE. Since I was concerned how they would look in a wider posture, I gave up on them and returned. If you have a narrower foot, I am sure you would be pleased with the Liverpool.

Any hope for a brown color soon?

Alaska Airlines approves new BROWN shoe and belt color for all pilots. That’s 3700 potential sales or $352k in revenue (belt and shoes). We need options for a brown dress boot and the Liverpool would be perfect. I’ve been wearing the black version for several years and always get complements; plus they are super comfortable. Please help us out by releasing a brown version and a matching belt!
    Asked by: AlaskaPilot
I'm not a pilot, but I share your desire and need for the Liverpool in a darker brown. I have asked AE to make them for me in either cordovan or a darker brown, or chili; but only a polite decline with each request.

The boots hurt my right foot's instep. Is break-in needed?

As the question stated, the boots hurt my right foot's instep even though I wear True To Size like other Allen Edmonds products I own. Do I need to wait for the boots to break-in or is going 0.5 size up a better option? I own 11E Liverpool Chelsea boots in Walnut color. One thing to note is that the left boot fits perfectly fine and comfy on my left foot.
    Asked by: Ryan.LT
Allen Edmonds is a fine brand and I've gotten a few of their boots and shoes. That said, NOTHING beats bespoke and the world's population all have differences betwixt and between their feet. Same with shoulder heights, etc. Bulletin: We're Human. So, as good as Allen Edmonds is, they simply can't coddle at this price point which, nevertheless, does represent, in my opinion, fine quality.

Do the wide width options use a wider forefoot only or are they wider throughout the whole shoe?

I ask because I have a normal width heel, but a wide forefoot.
    Asked by: WeltedNeusi
I have the same type of foot and they fit fine overall, a bit loose in the heel in the beginning. I ordered them in 11.5 Extra wide and they fit very well. As my foot molded into the sole, the heel felt more snug and the shoe became even more comfortable and now feels like I am wearing a glove. It is wider throughout, but I recommend you try a pair because the cork sole will mold into your foot and you will get a more custom fit.

In the Walnut model, what color is the elastic section? Can't tell from the pics if black or grey...

    Asked by: Jordan
The elastic on my Walnut colored Chelseas is a dark brown, which works nicely with the colors of the leather upper and soles.

How durable are these in comparison with the Surrey? Are they waterproof/ stain proof?

    Asked by: LawyerHulk53
Thank you for reaching out to us The durability of a boot is dependent on what it will be used for, the conditions it will be exposed to, the care it is given, and other factors. The Liverpool Chelsea Dress Boot is not water/stain proof.

What is the the exact heel height on these boots?

I like a tall heel height for the striking looks, but if it's too tall my feet get tired.
    Asked by: JayVTea
I just measured mine, and the total heel height is 7/8" This low heel is fairly typical for this style of boot. But back in the sixties, the Beatles had Cuban heels put on their Chelsea Boots to add height. It was a pretty distinctive look and that look became quite popular for a time. But unless you're a Beatle, stick with the low heel.
