STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality reflects a boot in the $100 price range The stitching was not clean, some cuts look crooked. Not happy with the quality for a boot priced at $450

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought these boots at a thrift store! Found these boots second hand for 15 dollars. They were in rough shape. Had them resoled and polished. Really terrific boots. Very comfortable. Would have paid much more for them, they are well made.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Annoyed and disappointed I picked up a pair of Dalton Cordovan Boots and am pretty disappointed. I knew of the QC issues of late, and took some time to look them over. You would think 600 dollar boots wouldn't need such close scrutiny, but apparently they do. I want to buy American and as a retired military veteran, take great pride in things made in the USA and will gladly pay a higher price for goods crafted here in the states. Clearly, I didn't look them too closely as it was pointed out the eyelet rows were all out of wack. The best way to describe it is left boot has both eyelet rows going lower than the right one . I'd say a full inch lower. I didn't notice it until a coworker pointed out. I wear a suit to work, and the boots look like they came from two different pairs. It may sound petty, and one could say its the character of a hand made boot, but I have hand made shoes, and they are perfect and correct. I feel bad because I wore them and now they are probably not returnable, Lots of money for poor workmanship and for me, a hard lesson learned. You get what you pay for, and apparently for AE, you pay a lot for low standards. DareI say, my first and last pair of Allen Edmonds.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I want so badly to love these, but the QC doesn’t pass muster I love the design of these boots, they are just absolutely stunning! I wear them all the time and they look amazing, I get compliments constantly. That said, what really surprised me is the fit and finish / QC of this product. My pair has numerous QC issues, including extraneous paint splatters / brush marks, Plastic sticking out of the welt, threads hanging and the heel pad having a big gap in it. I really wish I had exchanged these when I first got them because they are honestly worse than most factory seconds and I paid full price for them. I’m going to be honest, this has made it very hard for me to justify ever buying from Allen Edmonds again, especially considering QC issues I had with another pair of AEs. It’s my fault partially for not trying to get them exchanged, but a respectable company should not be releasing product like this. I recently passed up on the Higgins Mill boot because I am afraid that they will have these kinds of issues and I don’t want to go through that hassle again. I wish I could post pictures to show people how bad this is. I wouldn’t be surprised if a $50 pair of boots from DSW had better fit and finish. It really is that bad :(. Other than the blatant QC issues, this is a very handsome shoe and I will still wear it, even though I cringe when I put them on for how shoddy the finish looks.

How do these boots fit for someone with a high arch on the top of their feet?

Are the V-Tread Tap Soles built on top of the JOH Rendenbach leather stacked soles?

What is cordovan leather and why is it more expensive?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry! Cordovan is an equine leather made from the fibrous flat connective tissue beneath the hide on the rump of the horse. This particular leather is expensive because it is hard to come by and make. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

    Matching belt

What color of your "current" cordovan belts matches this boot?
    Asked by: Keenan
Hello, We currently only have two Cordovan belts. The Cordovan Aver belt and the Cordovan tab belt. The Cordovan Ave belt is offered in Oxblood which is closest color that we offer to burgundy. Unfortunately, the Cordovan Tab belt is only offered in black. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

I need a last to accommodate a wide toe box. I have a wide toe/front of foot issue. Does the 511 last do this?

    Asked by: Anonymous
The 511 Last is designed with a rounder, fuller fitting toe. Ultimately, the boots must be tried on to ensure a proper fit. At Allen Edmonds, we believe the right fit is vitally important. We recommend a professional fitting by an Allen Edmonds associate at your nearest retail location or an authorized Allen Edmonds dealer. Find a store near you: https://www.allenedmonds.com/stores
