    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

    Ask & Answer
Higgins Mill Boot with Chromexcel Leather is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from QC issues bring down my scoring of this nice boot This was the second pair of Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill Camo boots. The first pair came in with damage so they were exchanged. I am giving the boot an overall rating of 3 Stars as the quality once again takes center stage as the main issue with the company for the past couple of years. Even the second pair has inconsistencies that should not be evident for a boot in this price range. Being from WI I support AE, but it's becoming more and more difficult to purchase items online as you do not know what you are going to get when you open them at home. I kept this pair as they were on sale so the value seems OK as I'm living with the eyelets not being level and the stitching on the sole was bunched up on the toe. They do fit well and am in the process of breaking them in as they do make some noise after wearing for a few hours. I hope AE focuses on Quality a bit more as it makes for a lack-luster customer experience if you have to send back every order just to get a pair that matches and lives up to the expectations that come with shoes in this price range. On a side note I ordered a pair of Daltons and had to go through the same process of sending back the first pair and now the second pair is going back as they aren't worthy of keeping due to poor quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these boots This is the only pair of boots I have purchased retail in a long time. My hobby is collecting vintage shoes/boots and other leather gear which I then restore because "they don't make it like that anymore." Well, Allen Edmonds sure does, and these are more comfortable than the old ones. Plus, I've never had so many compliments on any other pair of boots! A+++ to Allen Edmonds!

Does the Higgins Mill boot run true to size? I wear a 10.5 in the Cornwallis. Please advise.

    Asked by: MrKOHS
Our shoes run true to size; however, the Higgins Mills boot and Cornwallis shoe are made on different lasts. The Higgins Mills boot is made on the 1757 Last and the Cornwallis is made on the 1943 Last.

    Higgins mill Camo boot issue

I have a brand new pair of the Higgins mill Camo boot and after just one wear the Camo print appears to literally just flake off. I love the feel of the boot and have no issue with the build quality however after 1 wear I don’t think the Camo should look like this. Thank you

    Material used?

I looked at these boots in the retail store and was confused. The camo portion appears to be covered over by laminate, but what is the remainder of the boot? Is this made of CXL or not?

What last is the higgens mill made on?

    Asked by: Dvardell2
The Higgins Mills is constructed on the welted 1757 Last. The 1757 last has a noticeably wider forepart for a fuller, more youthful appearance. The toe down view has a rounded profile for a fuller shape similar to the B34. A rounded toe combined with a sleek profile makes the 1757 perfect for boots and other casual silhouettes. It's an easy fitting last with the ideal shape for those who are looking for a more versatile dress-casual look. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!
