STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Higgins Mill Weatherproof Boot with Dainite Rubber Sole is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice daily wear boot I have worn this boot daily for about 6 weeks. I use medium weight wool socks in the cool months. Fit (10-E) is perfect, construction, sole and stitching first rate. The weather resistant leather looks great and has excellent wear so far. People often remark that my 'shoes' look great as they appear like a nice dress shoe with slacks...but these are much tougher and more protective. I rated a little lower in value because these boots are not cheap, but in this instance you do get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This boots is pretty darn great. Nonetheless, I read reviews and decided I wanted a casual boots to wear this time of the year. Texas gets weird weather these days since yesterday it was 30s, today is 70s, and tomorrow is supposed to drop to 20s. I walked the open dock many hours of the day and walk minimum of 6-8 miles a day. So far it has been holding up pretty good, not too much scuff marks from pallets which tends to be everywhere. So far so good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Control The leather on the left boot I purchased was not pulled correctly over the last. This resulted in a very noticeable crater in the top of the boot. I took it into their store and they said they could fix it, so a couple days later I came in and it appeared to be fixed. However, after wearing just twice it was clearly just a temporary solution. The boot also has stray threads. Overall, I'm not too happy with the purchase. A boot at this price should not be of this poor quality. Customer service was unwilling to assist with the issue and was not apologetic whatsoever. This is my first and last Allen Edmonds purchase. Never again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Donning They’re fine once you get them on. Maybe they just need to soften up a bit?

Will this leather have the same patina in a few years?

    Type of leather

Is this leather similar to the chromexcel used on the original Higgins Mill boot or is it more like calf leather? Trying to figure out the best way to raise a shine with this boot leather. Thanks.
    Asked by: Mike
This is not standard chromexcel leather. This is German waterproof leather with soft brown leather lining. You can use cream polish or speed polish to shine the Weatherproof Higgins Mill.
