    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Normandy Cap-Toe Boot is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thumbs up I really like these boots but should have gotten a size smaller.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boots design caused terrible blisters I bought a pair of these boots and got a terrible blister on the inside of my right ankle right on the round protruding ankle bone. I took the boots to my shoe repair guy and he said the blister was caused by the tongue on the boot bunching and then rubbing on the skin. You may want to re-design those boots so the tongue is not attached to the boot on each side because that's what causes the bunching and nothing can be done about it short of cutting the tongue attachment away from the boot. Great looking boots....but poor design.......also Alden wouldn;t give me my money back only a credit for future purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Are they two different sizes? I love these boots-they are gorgeous leather, great craftsmanship, look incredible...but I'm having a fit issue. I wear a 10.5 in all my other Allen Edmonds shoes, and after discussing with the online rep, I purchased this boot in the same size. The left boot fits great-but the right boot is PAINFULLY tight over the top of my foot, right where the bottom set of laces and the flap are. Not sure how to address this, as I think a size up might be too big for the left foot. Honestly, it feels like they are two different sizes, or stitched up wrong. Anyone have any advice?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not much room I ordered the same size as all my AE shoes including my Caen and Higgins Mill boots. This boot is less roomier. It rubs the bridge of my feet where the tongue is sewn in. I returned the first pair and the second pair was a little better but still less room Of course I kept them. I love the kudu leather and the over all look of the boot. I just wish they had more room.

Should I get the same size for the Normandy Cap-Toe Boot as I would on the Strand Cap-toe Oxford?

I have tried on the Strand Cap-toe Oxford in your store and ended up fitting perfect in 8.5 3E. If I like to order the Normandy Cap-Toe Boot on line without trying on, can I safely get the same size 8.5 3E? I understand the boot hav a "Relaxed Fit, slightly roomy feel" witch I expect from a boot.
    Asked by: JKM
Each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet, so it’s difficult to recommend a size via email and guarantee a proper fit. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judging the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. If possible, we’d love to have you visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or one of our retail partners for a professional fitting. Our associates are trained to help you find the right fit for the various lasts and styles we offer. Also, keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned within 90 days, as long as the item is unworn and accompanied by the packing slip (we advise trying the shoes on a carpeted surface to keep them in returnable condition).

    What polish should I use?

I just purchased these and used a neutral kiwi polish and rubbed in like with any other pair of AE shoes or boots, but this more textured leather just holds onto much of the polish even after drying. As much as I brush, it now looks like my boots have dandruff except for the cap toe and parts of the heel where the leather is smooth. Any recommendations?
    Asked by: Devin
Stay away from the petroleum based solvent polish and silicone based conditioners. Look into the Saphir line of shoe care products by going to the Hanger Project web site for information like videos, etc. of these products and to purchase. Get a quality pig bristle shoe/boot brush for the textured leather to help buff and remove polish. The Saphir Product May look expensive, but like quality face creams, lotions, etc. they go along way and are superior in conditioning quality leather footwear. If you spend $400 on a good pair of shoes/boots you will want them to last. The cost of a Saphir cream polish and leather conditioner will be about 10% the cost of the boots or shoes. Consider it a good investment.

Should I size down when buying this shoe.

I have seen on reviews were a lot of people recommend sizing down on this boot before I make a purchase should I do a size down I am a 10 and a 1/2 and 1 of my feet is slightly smaller than the other
    Asked by: Robert
These boots reminded me when I use to wear "jump boots" in the military (they are almost exactly the same), so I remember needing foot pads. Please do your knees and feet a favor and buy in your regular size, so you can add foot pads with arch support.
