STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

Normandy Cap-Toe Boot is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can wear this boot all day for several days in a row. It feels durable and light. I get so many compliments on this boot. Simply said, I love it. I am glad I got it on sale but I would recommend it at full price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love em. This is my 11th pair of AE shoes, and I am very fond of them. I'm also an old Army Officer that wore combat and jump books for about 14 years (I'm old Black Boot Army), so I was well versed in the usual breaking in of a combat style boot. However these pleasantly surprised me. The Tan Kudu leather is very supple. I really haven't felt that they have a distinct break in required. From the moment I laced them up, they have felt really comfortable. I'm quite sure that when they do finally break in completely that they will feel very much like my old combat boots, and be glove like. These will obviously not polish to a perfect mirror shine, but I'm not planning on breaking out my spit-shine gear in either case. The Lug sole is new to me, and I've never had it on an AE shoe before. If you are used to a Vibram lug, this would be much more low profile than that type of sole. It's very quiet when you walk on them, and my usual clop sounds my heels make is muted substantially. I'll be curious as to how it wears. Not sure what I will resole them with if and when these soles wear. I love my 5 last shoes. I wear those shoes with thin dress socks and they fit amazingly. I'm wearing my Normandy with a medium thickness boot sock, and they feel very similar to my 5's. Overall, I'm very happy, and I am betting that these bad boys may be in my work rotation for quite a while to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved them so much I bought a second pair. Obviously, it goes without saying, that I was impressed with these boots since I immediately ordered another pair. They are comfortable right out of the box as well as stylish. I look forward to fall every year when I can start wearing them again. I'm seriously considering buying a third pair as I know with proper care and Allen Edmonds craftsmanship they could easily last me 10 years or more. I came to Allen Edmonds via my father who has several pair of shoes, some over 20 years old. I know they may seem pricey but I consider them a worthy investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning Boots I have received so many compliments on these boots. They are great looking, both in color and shape. The best thing about them though, is the way they fit/feel on my feet. Super comfortable and supportive. I am very happy with them!

Should I get the same size for the Normandy Cap-Toe Boot as I would on the Strand Cap-toe Oxford?

I have tried on the Strand Cap-toe Oxford in your store and ended up fitting perfect in 8.5 3E. If I like to order the Normandy Cap-Toe Boot on line without trying on, can I safely get the same size 8.5 3E? I understand the boot hav a "Relaxed Fit, slightly roomy feel" witch I expect from a boot.
    Asked by: JKM
Each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet, so it’s difficult to recommend a size via email and guarantee a proper fit. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judging the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. If possible, we’d love to have you visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or one of our retail partners for a professional fitting. Our associates are trained to help you find the right fit for the various lasts and styles we offer. Also, keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned within 90 days, as long as the item is unworn and accompanied by the packing slip (we advise trying the shoes on a carpeted surface to keep them in returnable condition).

    What polish should I use?

I just purchased these and used a neutral kiwi polish and rubbed in like with any other pair of AE shoes or boots, but this more textured leather just holds onto much of the polish even after drying. As much as I brush, it now looks like my boots have dandruff except for the cap toe and parts of the heel where the leather is smooth. Any recommendations?
    Asked by: Devin
Stay away from the petroleum based solvent polish and silicone based conditioners. Look into the Saphir line of shoe care products by going to the Hanger Project web site for information like videos, etc. of these products and to purchase. Get a quality pig bristle shoe/boot brush for the textured leather to help buff and remove polish. The Saphir Product May look expensive, but like quality face creams, lotions, etc. they go along way and are superior in conditioning quality leather footwear. If you spend $400 on a good pair of shoes/boots you will want them to last. The cost of a Saphir cream polish and leather conditioner will be about 10% the cost of the boots or shoes. Consider it a good investment.
