Patton Cap-Toe Boot with Dainite Rubber Sole is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent choice for a casual boot I just got my walnut pair on 11/10/19 and the leather is very soft and I wore it right out of the box with no problem. For most, I don't think it would require much break-in time. I think that the darker tan may be a better choice of color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect boot for me I tried various boots before I came to the Patton Cap Toe in Tan. I have very narrow ankles, and most boots rub against my calf's uncomfortably and the the top of the upper looks odd tied tight with my narrow legs. These are just short enough that I don't have rubbing, and they feel great. I'm so glad I found these, I'd always heard about boots fitting like a glove, and now I feel like I'm part of that club. Thank you for making a boot I can wear comfortably!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing. More home made than hand crafted What a disappointment these boots turned out to be. I received them today, and am returning them right away. I had high hopes (American made, top quality leathers etc) and really wanted to like these boots, but the quality of workmanship just doesn't justify the high price (almost $400). The materials seems to be good quality - especially the soles, but the finish is poor. In some areas the leather has been cut unevenly. After almost 100 years of making shoes, it seems reasonable to expect that the leather would be cut in a straight line.

what is the height of these boots?

    Asked by: Anonymous

    What is “waxy kudu leather“?

Is this from the African kudu antelope? Or is it cowhide? If cowhide, how is it different than calfskin used in other boots/shoes? I’ve seen that Horween makes a leather in their Chromexcel line branded as “kudu”. Is this the same leather?

The online photos of colors walnut and tan look identical, except for the finish. Which is darker?

Secondly, with the "waxy" uppers, can these shoes be polished?
    Asked by: Mark
The difference between the Tan and Walnut shoes is the grain. The color is going to be very similar. Yes, these shoes can be polished.
