STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Patton Cap-Toe Boot with Dainite Rubber Sole is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality issues Nice tan leather boots, but the right boot looked like a factory second. The tongue was not centered correctly when it was sewn. I will be sending these back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Second pair I ordered had bad quality leather unlike the first The first pair I ordered was in stock and shipped right away and it was perfect but the second pair I ordered was made with a lower quality leather almost leaning towards the papery leather feel at the same price. I don’t know what is going on with this company after it was sold. Wired quality control issues. I am beginning to doubt whether these shoes are really made in the USA anymore. They might be experimenting with outsourcing production...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Patton Cap-Toe Brown Calfskin Bad - Quality Control Just went to get my package, opened up the shoes, and noticed an easily visible error on the left show. The stitching of the tongue to the front of the shoe extends really far out towards the toe. Looks completely different from the right shoe. Wish I could upload a photo. Sent an email to Allen Edmond's today about it and included a photo.I own Higgins Mill boots and I'm disappointed that this obvious error got by someone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Boot I did not give it a five star yet, because I haven't worn it enough to do so. It is similar to the Higgins Mill boot but it is a little lower and dispenses with the metal hook lacing. I like that it does, because the hooks can catch on the inside of the hem of one's pants, which can ruin the hem. The last used in this and the Higgins Mill boot is for wider forefeet and lower arches than most AE shoes, it seems to me. That works well for me. It compares to chukkas, but, obviously, has more eyelets. I like that better as it allows for a more secure fit. It has a more casual look than some of the other boots, but I don't hesitate to wear it with a suit.

what is the height of these boots?

    What is “waxy kudu leather“?

Is this from the African kudu antelope? Or is it cowhide? If cowhide, how is it different than calfskin used in other boots/shoes? I’ve seen that Horween makes a leather in their Chromexcel line branded as “kudu”. Is this the same leather?

The online photos of colors walnut and tan look identical, except for the finish. Which is darker?

Secondly, with the "waxy" uppers, can these shoes be polished?
    Asked by: Mark
The difference between the Tan and Walnut shoes is the grain. The color is going to be very similar. Yes, these shoes can be polished.
