    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather saddle soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with cream polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Next condition the shoes with speed polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take the heel dressing applicator and press against the edge of the heels and soles.

STEP 5: Apply leather lotion as needed for added protection and polish between cleanings.

*For camo printed material, simply rub leather lotion onto print with a white cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp white cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Sullivan Street is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seam inside top of boot hurts my feet These boots are my fourth pair of AE footgear, and unfortunately probably my last. I didn’t buy the Daltons because reviews showed that Daltons had a seam inside that rubbed on the top of reviewers’ feet. After wearing my new Sullivan’s four times, they are doing the same and hurt sufficiently that I can’t continue wearing them. The remainder of the boot feels great and the leather is nice, so I wish it would have worked out. I emailed AE and they told me that because I wore them there is nothing they can do for me. I expected more from AE.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice boot, but QC issues again I've owned many pairs of AE shoes and boots down the years, with generally good results. The Sullivan Street is a nice boot, and I would once again be very happy, but for the fact the opening/eyelets on the left boot are crooked. I didn't really notice the issue when trying on in store, but having worn a couple of times, it's pretty glaring. It's a cosmetic defect, but a pretty significant one, that I'm surprised escaped quality control. I guess I'm stuck with them having worn them, but now all I can see when I wear them is the squint left boot. I expect more for the money, and better from this brand. My first big AE disappointment, and possibly my last.

    Cap Toe?

Is this boot a cap toe? Looks like there are just two rows of stitching and not actually another piece of leather on top.
    Asked by: Zach
Thank you for reaching out to us. The Sullivan Street is a cap toe boot. We hope this is helpful!

Where is the letter sourced from and how does it compare to Chromacel/Horween etc?

    Asked by: R
Much of our leather we use on our shoes come from tanneries from Chicago to France and Italy to Australia. We search the globe for the finest materials to craft our shoes. The Sullivan Street is made using full grain calfskin which is known for it's softness, durability, and sophisticated look. Chromexcel is a special product made by Horween that provides great water resistant qualities. We do not use Chromexcel on this style. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

    All weather leather like Normandy?

The description is ambiguous. Is the "All-weather" referring to the leather upper or the sole?
    Asked by: Anonymous
All-weather refers to the Dainite rubber sole which adds traction and long-lasting durability in all types of weather. While most of our leathers can tolerate a light rain, we do not consider them to be waterproof. For full protection against water or salt, we recommend using overshoes. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

Will the DECATUR AVE DRESS BELT in brown match the brown version of the Sullivan boot?

    Asked by: Mike M
The leathers are not an exact match, but they are very close and if paired together the shoes and belt will complement each other nicely. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

    I have a sizing question.

Generally I wear a 9.5 shoe, will I be wise in getting my boot choice in the same size. Last year I bought a pair of John Fluevog boots here in Vancouver BC. Size 9 was the best fit after trying 10 and 9.5. Had to give up wearing them as one foot became very sore. I really need a good all weather/winter boot, as an airline pilot I want something with style but with a practical sole, the Sullivan looks like my boot.
    Asked by: jetdog
I can attest that this boot fits the same as several other pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes. I opted to buy mine one half size larger but the same width as my AE shoes in order to wear a thick sock in cold weather. Works out very nicely.

Dress slacks, likely yes. But, suit?

Looking for insight. How well does this style work with a suit? The sole concerns me as I am use to leather sole shoes/boots (for e.g. Dalton) when wearing a suit.
    Asked by: Nickeliddy
Have worn them with a suit and received compliments on both the boot and the fact it has the Dainite sole for foul weather traction.
