Force 10 Boat Shoe is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but value not there for me I really wanted to like these shoes. Value just wasn't there for me in the end. I received the shoes and first noticed the 'blue' color was darker than the image online. They are more navy than 'blue'; definitely too navy to wear with black, a goal I had for the shoes. I tried them on and the fit was also a bit off. I've won AE in 4 different styles of shoes, all at a size 11.5 B. These were too small without socks. I would need a 12, perhaps 13. Even properly sized, the comfort wasn't as nice as other AE shoes I own. Don't get me wrong, the shoes are beautiful and quality wise what I'd expect from AE. For me, paying over $200 for a non-recraftable boat shoe; I'm looking for superb comfort along with the great style. These didn't bring that for me. I decided to return and not reorder.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor heel fit. The insert is exceptionally cheap The fit was uncomfortable for an 8.5 EEE. I'm typically an 8.5 EE to EEE, so was surprised as to how tight it fit in the heel. The insert balls up whenever you try and put the shoe on. I walked around on carpet and would have developed blisters on my heel had I continued. This product is shockingly poor compared to the dozen or so shoes I have purchased from Allen Edmonds in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is what it is. High quality and no surprises. I'm a sucker for high quality loafers that can be worn comfortably without socks, especially when they have some blue suede style. Love these so far. Wearing them as we speak.

How do you replace laces on the Force 10? It seems that the laces thread all through the sides of the shoe.

Is a visit to the repair shop required just to change laces?
    Asked by: tt
We would recommend purchasing replacement laces on www.shoelaceexpress.com. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

    E width not available?

Hello, my true size is 10.5 E (which does not appear to be available). Would I be better off purchasing the 10.5 D or the 10.5 EEE?
    Asked by: JC
Hello, James. Each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet, so it’s difficult to recommend a size via email and guarantee a proper fit. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judging the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. If possible, we’d love to have you visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or one of our retail partners for a professional fitting. Our associates are trained to help you find the right fit for the various lasts and styles we offer. Also, keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned within 90 days, as long as the item is unworn and accompanied by the packing slip (we advise trying the shoes on a carpeted surface to keep them in returnable condition).

Is this a tie shoe or slip on?

    Asked by: Terry
Hi Terry! The Force 10 shoe does have a functional tie. Since it's a boat shoe, most will just slip them on. Hope this helps! ~Anne
