    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Boulevard Cap Toe Dress Shoe is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too narrow for my feet The quality of the shoe is decent, and the price was right, but it's quite narrow and very flat. I also think the stitching is too tight for my liking. It's hard to even move my toes in the shoe. 70+hrs of break-in time and still very uncomfortable. I dropped it off at the store for 3 days to stretch and condition - hopefully it makes the difference! I just wouldn't wear them in this kind of discomfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice shoe nice color Bought shoe when it was on sale for 199.99. Overall its very nice leather I was a little hesitant to purchase this shoe as I had to return a 5th ave in size 12 D and it was too narrow. On this show which uses the same 65 last I ordered a 12 E and the width is fine. Very comfortable shoe I am still in the process of breaking it in. I like the open lacing opposed to the close lacing system of the Oxford style 5th Ave. On sale I believe this shoe is a good value and would not hesitate to purchase another shoe from this brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Decent uppers, but quality of sole is lacking These were the first Allen Edmond shoes that I purchased these about a year ago. The quality of the leather on the shoe and craftsmanship was what I expected from the hefty price tag (hence the two stars). I've taken great care of them, wearing them at most 2 days a week, some weeks not at all, so maybe a total of 60-70 wears, mostly driving into the office, some days walking from Grand Central a few blocks to a meeting. The problem exists in the quality of one of the soles of the shoes. With my rotation as mentioned above, I have never had to replace a sole in less than two and a half years, many lasting well over 3 from such brands as Cole Haan and Johnston & Murphy. However one of the soles quickly developed a soft spot and has a hole in it. The other sole is still rock solid, giving me the expectation that it should last at least another 2 years as I'm accustomed to. So the quality control of their leather is apparently not up to the competition. When I reached out to customer support about the issue they suggested I have the shoes recrafted for $125, even though one is fine and not in need of repair. Given my experience with the quality of their soles, you can bet I'll go to my cobbler who uses higher quality materials for half the price. Very disappointed with my purchase, I'll be going back to brands that I've had better experiences with. I know many who have purchased Allen Edmond and have not had this experience, but if you look through some of the reviews this seems to be more common in recent years. Maybe they are growing too fast for their quality control processes...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I purchased this shoe a year ago and after one year of wear and tear (I normally alternate between this and other shoes so technically I used them for half a year), I can't wear them anymore because one shoe has a hole in the sole. I went to the store on Madison Ave and 56st and they told me it was not surprise shoes' sole need to be fixed after a year. Good to know because that means next time I'll shop somewhere else..I mean, for the price I paid these shoes should last longer. I am very disappointed by both, quality and customer service.

    Shinnng these shoes

When I shine these shoes, they do not seem to take on much of a shine and remain dull. What can I do?
    Asked by: Dmca
We recommend cleaning the dust or dirt off the upper, and if you use a damp rag let it dry before applying polish. Apply an even coat of Speed Polish or Carnauba Wax Polish with a soft cloth to the entire upper, then brush vigorously with the Horse Hair Shine Brush. You can focus on the toes an heels for an extra shine. Repeat until you achieve your desired results. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

    Sizing question

If I wear a 10.0EEE in the Strand and Park Avenue (understanding they are more long and narrow than average), what size would I wear in the Boulevard? Most of the time with other brand blucher-style dress shoes (like Johnston Murphy, etc.) I wear 10.5 regular or wide. The Boulevard is a blucher style so I am guessing it fits a bit loser than the Strand or Park Avenue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

At Allen Edmonds, we believe the right fit is vitally important. We recommend a professional fitting by an Allen Edmonds associate at your nearest retail location or an authorized Allen Edmonds dealer. Find a store near you: https://www.allenedmonds.com/stores If that's not possible, we suggest starting with the same size you usually wear and judging the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. Keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned within 90 days, as long as the item is unworn and accompanied by the packing slip (we advise trying the shoes on a carpeted surface to keep them in returnable condition). Shoe Tree During Break-In

Should you use a shoe tree as you are breaking in the shoe during the first few weeks?
    Asked by: Matthew
The main purpose of cedar shoe trees is to maintain the shoe's shape. Due to the nature of the leather, leather shoes can curl upwards if shoe trees are not used. We recommend inserting shoe trees whenever the shoes are not in use. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
