STEP 3: Next condition the shoes with speed polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take the heel dressing applicator and press against the edge of the heels and soles.

STEP 5: Apply leather lotion as needed for added protection and polish between cleanings.

*For camo printed material, simply rub leather lotion onto print with a white cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp white cloth.
    Fit

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Perugia Italian Tassel Loafer is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful Shoe with Fatal Flaw It really disappoints me to provide this review but I felt compelled to warn potential customers about this shoe. Being my first AE purchase I was extremely excited to get these in May. I received many compliments on the wonderful Oxblood color, form, and pebbled grain of the leather. They were also extremely comfortable and well-fitting. I looked forward to enjoying them for many years. Then, as others who have worn the shoe for more than a few weeks may have noticed, they began to collect water stains. I'm not talking about wearing these shoes in pouring rain and then complaining afterwards that there are soak marks or stains. I am saying, that if a single drop of condensation from the outside of your iced coffee glass happens upon the surface of these shoes and the pebbled leather it will immediately and irreparably stain the leather a rather ugly black. It is frankly absurd. I have never encountered such a ridiculous characteristic on a shoe, both above and below this price point. I tried rubbing the surface of the shoes, polishing them, etc. I even gave it multiple months to see if repeated polishes and time would address the issues to no avail, and thus I find myself here leaving a warning to future owners of this shoe. Do not buy unless you are comfortable with your shoe collecting liver spots over incredibly minute drops of water- even the slightest droplet will stain the shoe, and it doesn't matter how quickly you wipe it away. I would advise against buying this shoe- perhaps the Grayson is the better choice, as my friend says it does not have this problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BE AWARE White Spots! As soon as I took them out of the box I noticed that it had a small discoloration spot, but for a second I though it was normal so I just didn't give it more thought and used a AE polish. The polish made the shoe look even better than before (of course), so I was extremely happy with it. Since then I only used it 5 days (2 straight weekends). At the end of the first weekend the shoe looked like it had some small white spots but I though it was just dust, so I clean it up with a microfiber fabric, added some leather lotion and finished it with neutral shoe polish. Again shoes looked great. The second time I used them was 2 weekends ago and the same thing happened. I didn't clean it right away because I was moving out of my place. So I just put the shoe tree in, cover it inside the shoe bag, and saved it in a box (like the rest of my shoes). Yesterday when I opened it, I finally noticed that it wasn't dirt ... the shoe had WHITE SPOTS all over it (which apparently happens with water-I google it to see what it was) but on the days that I used them it didn't touch any water. Furthermore, I really thought that the quality of these shoes will be better than what it actually was. I'm really disappointed and hopefully I can get my money back because this is the last time I will be purchasing from AE. I admit its partially my fault, I should've sent it back when i saw the weird discoloration spot but I never thought it was going to get worst (plus I had waited so long to get blue leather shoes that I was just so excited with it). It's really sad because I want to love them, but I can't keep fixing it every second I use it. I tried used them yesterda, but it didn't last for more than two hours before it looked weird again. This is the first time ever I reviewd something (that is how bad I feel about this purchase)..Hopefully this guys contact me and will UPDATE the review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the price I bought these for my husband's birthday and the first time he wore them it rained and they have spots on them. He tried taking them back to the store but they said they could not take them back. These are expensive shoes and should not spot with raindrops on them. Very disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectation This is my 7th pair of AE shoes and probably my favorite. I didn’t find them running wide like other reviewers. I am enjoying them right now. Onward!

What shoe polish do you recommend for this shoe?

    Asked by: HunterG
We recommend using Leather Lotion when caring for this style. You may use Oxblood or Black Premium Shoe Polish for the Oxblood or Black loafers respectively, or Neutral Polish for the Blue leather if you wish to add some shine. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

What is the last of this shoe?

    Asked by: Anonymous
The Italian Collection is not constructed on our traditional lasts. This style has the sleek profile of Italian shoe but with the comfort that comes from the more generous American style toe box. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Are these shoes lightweight? I am trying to find a shoe for my husband that isn't so heavy.

    Asked by: X
Our Italian Collection shoes, like the Perugia, tend to be slightly lighter due to the Bologna construction method used to make them; they do not feature the cork footbed that we build into our traditional welted footwear. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Are these shoes able to be recrafted?

Since these shoes are "Bologna cemented construction" does that mean they can recrafted and if so, is a new sole cemented on?
    Asked by: Will
The Perugia loafer is not eligible for our Recrafting services. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
