Overview

As cap-toe bluchers are concerned, the Boulevard is a stand out for its simple yet refined perfing details. Handcrafted of fine calfskin leather with a fully-leather lined upper and leather sole, this Boulevard will have you looking like you live on easy street.

Product Care

Allen Edmonds Shoe Care

When caring for your calfskin, use Allen Edmonds Leather Lotion to remove surface residue and to keep leather soft and pliable. To achieve a fine luster, wipe shoes with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry at room temperature. Then, apply a coat of Allen Edmonds Premium Shoe Polish with a cloth or horsehair dauber and allow to air dry.

Reviews
Boulevard Cap Toe Dress Shoe is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from $197......why not? I had to exchange because I didn’t listen to others that the 65 last runs long and narrow. Well, I learned my lesson. Customer service was amazing, thank you ladies! I will note, it seems there is a bit of rushed work on the shoes in regards to stitching and burnishing, but I took care of it myself. All in all, a great purchase. I look forward to a nice Christmas present to myself every year if they continue to do the holiday sale.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strange indent behind cap Weird indentations in leather behind cap toe. Appears to be Some sort of clamp marks. The craftsmanship is great, as always. I can’t believe quality control allowed these to leave the factory as they are. Perhaps done in the final polish or buffing process. “L” shaped marks that do not penetrate the surface of the leather, but are extremely noticeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boulevard cap toe I have always worn the park avenue but this shoe was on sale and I thought I would give it a try. They only difference is the tooling at the cap. I had to wait a few weeks to get it because they were still making the shoes. How about that, half off on clearance but not because they were overstocked, still had to make them! The shoes fit like a glove. As well, customer service is FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Why isn't this shoe made in an Oxbood color?

It's hard to find a Blutcher style shoe in the Oxblood color. Those of us with high insteps and can't wear the Balmoral style would love to have an Oxblood option in the Blutcher on a 65 Last.
Asked by: Sacfly
We offer several blucher styles in Oxblood or Burgundy (linked below). We highly recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds retail store for assistance with the fit of these lasts. http://www.allenedmonds.com/shoes/mens-shoes/?prefn1=refinementColor&prefn2=styles&prefv1=Burgundy&prefv2=Blucher%2FDerby Please know we value your feedback and it will be forwarded to our teams for consideration on future offerings.

Boulevard vs Fifth Ave

This shoe seems like a Derby style of the Fifth Ave - Same Last, etc. Can you confirm what, besides the Derby style is different about these shoes vs. the Fifth Ave? I.e. is the sole made from the same material? Thanks!
Asked by: This is a nickname...
The difference is the Boulevard is a blucher with 4 eyelets and the Fifth Avenue is a balmoral with 6 eyelets. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Style question

Is this shoe "The City" but with fewer eyelets and produced on the 65 instead of the 201?
Asked by: Anonymous
Some models can be said to be versions of each other, for example the Park Avenue and the Fifth Avenue, or the St. Johns and the Mora, the Macneil and McAllister, Cornwallis and Carlyle, and so on. The are are similar in style, but the details and components are different. The Boulevard and the City are both blucher styles, but the brogueing, upper pattern, last, and eyelet number makes each one unique. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
