  • Care

We believe a great pair of shoes or boots is always a solid long-term investment. To keep your favorite footwear in top form for years or even decades to comes, use our 4 Step Shoe Care Process and these essential products.

    1. Clean

Start by applying Saddle Soap with a Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth to remove stains and dirt from the uppers and bring up the leather's natural oils.

    2. Polish

Next, use a Horsehair Dauber to treat your footwear with Cream Polish which renews the color and luster of leather. Any time you want to achieve a truly glossy, high shine, you should instead apply Carnauba Wax Polish.

    3. Dress

Restore the color and surface of the leather on the heels and soles using Heel Dressing.

    4. Protect

Leather Lotion keeps uppers soft, supple and hydrated while a Horsehair Shine Brush is perfect for buffing your shoes to the desired shine. As a last step, spray on Water Protector to guard against harmful moisture and spills and use a Leather Dopp Kit to keep all your care products organized.

Broadstreet Spectator Wingtip Oxford is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG, I bought 2 of each color! This is the best shoe, ever. I wear them with cargo shorts, jeans, tuxedo.... It goes well with everything. I just wish the soles were Rendenbach instead of AE standard sole which seems to be made of cardboard. Anywho, I sincerely recommend these shoes to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long-time Broadstreet owner I have owned a pair of Broadstreets for over twenty years. While I do not wear them every day, of course, they still look brand new after much wear. I have not yet had to have them refurbished, and they are the most comfortable dress shoes I own. Outstanding quality, fit, finish, durability, and comfort. I wear them with everything from double-breasted pinstripe suits to khakis and polo shirts, and they are equally at home in both settings. I will undoubtedly own these beauties for life. I am surprised these classics went out of regular production. My favorite shoes, period. I suggest you get them while you can!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Your lucky day. Don't think twice. Order a pair. These shoes are classic. They are beautifully made, fit perfectly and are a first class attention getter. I break them out of the the closet on Memorial Day and wear them through Labor Day, with suits and business casual, to work, church, weddings, parties and the like. If you don't have a seersucker suit, buy one. They two go together like peaches and cream. You'll stand out in a crowd, in a very good way. Oh yes, I have two other spectator styles from Allen Edmonds, as well, in black and walnut. The Broadstreets, which were my first, bought years ago, are brown. It's always a hard call to decide which to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hey hey hey They brought back a golden oldie this time! This is a really stunning platform that sort of speaks for itself, so I'll just try to stick to what I think people might want to know. Fit - this is built on AE's legacy 73-last, which basically takes the length (and sort of contour) of the 511 and modifies the toebox. The toebox has more of a pointed look but somehow the width of the last feels more generous than the 511. If you have a size dialed in with the 511-last you should definitely get the same size here; if anything this may feel more generous. I will also add (at least with the old version) the leather was soft/supple enough that even with a high instep, I could almost completely close the lacing gap out of the box (something I still to this day can't do with a 65-last balmoral like a Park). Aesthetic - I would just warn to make sure you are comfortable with this and be sure you are able to incorporate it into a wardrobe. Every once in a while AE releases limited edition holiday styles, usually built on the Strandmok/Neumok platforms. They use awesome, whimsical color patterns that look really cool and unique but may be rather limited and/or impractical in terms of usage beyond the holidays. The original Broadstreets included a version with a bone white and another with bourbon. These use pure white. Pure white, in contrast with super dark colors, is just very loud and grabs a ton of attention. If you are absolutely ok with these being sort of a "statement" piece, they are definitely the right shoes for you. If you couldn't pull off the holiday shoes in any environment....take note, these are much more "loud." That's about it - hope AE continues to bring back great classics. Wonder why they didn't re-release this at the end of Spring or at least earlier in the Summer.
