Nashua Tassel Loafer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 539.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good-looking, versatile shoe I own four pairs of Nashua Tassel Loafers (2 blk w/ br trim, 1 tan w/ tan trim and 1 br w/ br trim). One of the black pairs was recrafted several years back and the second black pair is out for recrafting as I write. I practically live in them. I find them versatile, good looking and tough. Nashuas are probably the most comfortable shoes I own. (I order them in E width, which is a nice option.) I can't remember when I bought my first pair of Nashuas but it was probably more than 10 years ago. I bought my first pair of AEs almost 20 years ago, largely because they were made in the USA. I was disappointed when production of many styles shifted to the Caribbean. Having said that, two pairs of my Nashuas say "Handcrafted in USA" and two say "Handsewn in Dominican Republic." I have found no difference in fit or quality among the four pairs. I wouldn't hesitate to order them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RED VELVET BAGS The shoes, as usual, were excellent. BUT, they used to come in red velvet bags. You changed them into gray bags. Now I find that you send them in one large gray bag. I have a brother-in-law who bragged that I kept my shoes in red velvet bags. It made me feel a little important in a weird way. I LIKED my red velvet bags. I want my red velvet bags back. I'll continue to purchase shoes, but it won't be as exciting without the RED VELVET BAGS. Do you understand how much they mean to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shoe is perfect for me. I have been wearing this shoe for at least 10 years and it fits me perfectly. Craftsman quality is great. I got a good deal on this shoe online. I will continue buying from Allen Edmonds.

I am a 9 with regular width so which on your sizes should I select.

    Asked by: Brian
It's best to try shoes on and see what feels best. I wear a 10 1/2 E in the Park Avenue, an 11D in the Leeds and an 11 1/2 E in the Nashua. All feel fine. Even though they are the same AE brand, they are different styles made on different lasts and purchased over a span of years. There are algorithms on various shoe sites that suggest a size for a particular shoe based upon your height, weight and age as well as the size you normally wear for a known brand and style of shoe. They are better than nothing but the reviews indicate they can be off. AE has such a feature on its site. When I input all my data for the Nashua, it recommends an 11.5 D for me. I feel more comfortable in the 11.5 E.

Nashua Tassel Loafer - How do I purchase one in an 8.5 B?

Nashua Tassel Loafer - I have 2 pair of 8.5 B and want to purchase another in an size. How do I do that or at least get notified when one becomes available? One thing Allen Edmond has always done so well is carry a wide selection in widths and being a small and narrow foot - it has been great! Any help would be appreciated. --thanks, jerry

    Brown with brown trim Nashua

One of the colors offered is described as brown with brown trim, but the Accompanying picture looks more like a tan shoe with brown trim. In any event it seems to be a combination of lighter and darker browns. Is that the case? I have a pair of older Nashuas which are brown with brown trim and the trim matches the color of the shoe. Thanks.
    Asked by: tjmcdiii
i would describe this combination as a caramel body withe contrasting chocolate brown trim. I wear them with a bunch of colors.

The quality dived when they shifted manufacturing to the caribbean. Have they moved manufacturing back to the states yet?

After wearing for many years, the last purchase was aweful. I so miss the shoes lasts (forms) used domestically on the old Nashuas.
