    Care Instructions

Cordovan leather requires different care than calfskin due to its unique properties. Brush and wipe regularly and apply cream occasionally to protect the leather and maintain its rich color.

    Regular Maintenance:

Regularly, brush the leather with our Horsehair Shine Brush or wipe with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth.

To Protect and Restore Color, Follow These Steps:

STEP 1: Wipe your shoe down with a damp cloth and allow to dry.

STEP 2: Using your Horsehair Dauber, apply a small amount of Cordovan cream in a circular motion.

STEP 3: While the cream is still slightly wet, take our Horsehair Shine Brush and brush back and forth, heating the cream and leather. This allows the natural oils to move to the surface to bring out the leather's natural shine.

STEP 4: Next, use the soft side of our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth to buff the shoe until the surface is no longer tacky. Often, some excess cream will transfer onto the cloth, which is normal.

STEP 5: Take our Heel Dressing applicator and press against the edge of the heel and sole.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Randolph Shell Cordovan Penny Loafer is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 287.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in Class My Randolph’s are my favorite pair of AE shoes in my collection. In my opinion, a pair of full strap penny loafers are a must in any gentleman’s shoe rotation, and Randolphs are the perfect expression of that classic style. My Randolphs arrived in flawless condition, and they are easy to maintain with a high quality shoe cream and a glossy coat of wax on the tips and heel counter. Randolphs are five-star classics all the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful design I exchanged my Lake Forest loafers for these at the store. I could not slip into the Lake Forest easily. These have a much more classic look with an English flair and I preferred the full strap. Seems like a silly thing to notice but as most shoe enthusiasts, I do. Size and last was great a little looser than the Lake Forest last making a comfortable fit. Love the dark chili color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pay attention to the Last, its not standard width I have 14 pairs of Allen Edmonds dress shoes and dress boots. I purchased these as casual shoes with a Dainite sole. I am normally a perfect 10D in AE dress shoes and a 10EE in AE boots. This is a sizing that never changes and I can order with confidence to fit perfectly. In this case the width was wider than a standard D, and most concerning was the loose heel. I have never had this much slippage in the heel before from a Allen Edmond shoe. 50% of my dress shoes are slip on/loafers, so I am familiar with the fit. I am keeping the shoes since it was a modified order and I can still wear them. My caveat to purchasers is to pay attention to the last and make sure its one that you are familiar with and will fit you.

I currently have a pair of Allen Edmonds Cameron loafers 10 2A that I’ve had for several years, and the inside sole includes a built in arch support,

I currently have a pair of Allen Edmonds Cameron loafers 10 2A that I’ve had for several years, and the inside sole includes a built in arch support, yet the Randolph loafer and many other similar loafers coming in narrow sizes, such as A thru AAA are not showing a built in arch support. Do any similar loafers have a built in arch support as I have narrow and flat feet. It’s very difficult to find if not impossible to find loafers or any style that will fit me. I think a lot depends on the width style. Thanks...

Can I have this customized to a V-Thread Tap Sole? Thank you.

The Randolph Shell Cordavan Penny Loafer in brown looks different than the black or burgundy with respect the stitching on the top of the shoe.

If so, is it possible to get a brown shoe crafted like the black and burgundy shoes?
    Asked by: Shoeman
The stitching on the black and burgundy pair is the same as the brown pair. Also, if you purchase a pair they will be newly crafted. Just FYI it takes about 9-10 weeks to receive. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

Typically, Cordovan items are excluded from promotions. If this was applicable it would state it on our site. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

Are we with narrow feet being penalized by having to pay such a hefty price? Is this shoe made from alligator skin?

    Asked by: StirCastle
Cordovan is an equine leather made from the fibrous flat connective tissue (or shell) beneath the hide on the rump of the horse. Cordovan leather is more expensive than calf skin leather. Also, we do offer a calf skin version that is lower in price. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

    Custom orthotics

I require the use of custom orthotics to compensate for one leg being about 1/4" shorter than the other and a fallen arch, with which, the cork insoles aren't compatible. I'm currently searching for alternatives to taking my new shoes to the cobbler to have them altered. Is there another option offered by you that I may not be aware of?
    Asked by: Lucas
We would recommend taking your orthotics to your local store. They may be able to offer alternative options.
