    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather saddle soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with cream polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Next condition the shoes with speed polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take the heel dressing applicator and press against the edge of the heels and soles.

STEP 5: Apply leather lotion as needed for added protection and polish between cleanings.

*For camo printed material, simply rub leather lotion onto print with a white cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp white cloth.
    Fit

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Verona II Italian Loafer is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe Only problem right shoe tighter on top of instep probably have it stretched

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heel and sole wore out within 2 months I expected much better quality shoes from Allen Edmonds. The heels and outer soles wore out within 2 months (wearing every other work day) and I had to pay $75 for my local cobbler to fix it. The rubber on the bottom of the heel is extremely thin (I’d say 1/8”) so no wonder it wore so quick. Apart from the above, the shoes are very comfortable and stylish. I do enjoy wearing them but am annoyed that AE shoes (with an AE price) would wear out so quickly. I’ve had a pair of Park Avenues for 3 years and I did not have this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good shoe, runs big I picked up a pair of these last fall through the mail. Initially ordered my usual 10D, wound up with a 9D. Customer service was very helpful throughout the exchange process. The only downside is the thin sole, which makes edge dressing a bit of a pain. Conclusion: Do order it, but order it at least one size smaller than your usual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These shoes are very comfortable and stylish. I recently donated my pair of casual, every day loafers from another shoe maker because they were too tight in the toe and pinched my high instep. These Italian-made loafers from Allen Edmonds are very comfortable. I use a pair I purchased previously as my everyday pair. I bought my newest pair as my back-up and dress pair. The leather is very soft, the fit is true to size, and the heal doesn't "clack." I enjoy wearing them, and I've received compliments from some friends (men and women) on them.

I would like toby several of these Verona II Loafers but am concerned about fit. I wear a 9 in an Austin by Keen which has a wide toe box and an extra large in a Rockport dress shoe. If Measure my foot can you tell me if will be too tight?

At Allen Edmonds, we believe the right fit is vitally important. We recommend a professional fitting by an Allen Edmonds associate at your nearest retail location or an authorized Allen Edmonds dealer. https://www.allenedmonds.com/stores Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

What is the heel rise in millimeters ?

How high is the heel over the toe. Most shoes are about 10mm or 14mm . THis one looks to be more . Makes you taller , but I'd really like one at 5mm or 10mm . thanks .
    Asked by: traderjohn
Allen Edmonds shoes have a heel lift of approximately 1/2" from the bottom of the heel to the bottom of the sole. A 1/2 inch is 12.7 mm. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

    Matching belt? I have a 38 waist. Should I go up to a 40?

    Asked by: Ray
We suggest the Wide Basic Dress Belt. Our belts are measured from the inside edge of the buckle to the center hole. Because of this, we recommend selecting a belt one full size larger than your waist size. For example, if the waist size on your slacks or pant size is a 38" we recommend ordering a 40" belt. Belts have five belt holes, placed 1 inch apart from one another. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

    Cement Construction?

The description says this shoe is made with "Bologna cement construction." Is this different than regular cement construction, and what is the recrafting process for cement-constructed shoes?
    Asked by: JustPrewitt
For the Bologna cemented construction the upper is both stitched directly to the sole and secured with adhesive. Recraftability depends on various factors for each style; if the style is eligible for the service, it will be indicated in the online description of that shoe. The Verona II is eligible for Recrafting. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

What color heel & sole edge dressing for brown?

I currently have these in brown and was wondering what color heel and sole edge dressing to use. I am assuming dark brown but that did not look quite right when I received it. Thank you!
    Asked by: Rodgersc77
The sole edge of the Verona is dark brown, almost black but it does have a brown tint to it. Typically we would recommend brown edge dressing, but if you want to keep it as dark as it is, you can use black or a combination of the two. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

    Bologna Cemented Construction

Could someone explain what "Bologna Cemented" construction is? I am familiar with Bologna construction, in which the sole is stitched directly to the upper, without use of cement. How does cement factor in to this design? Are the soles stitched to the upper and reinforced with cement? Are the soles attached with cement only? Some other combination of stitching and cementing? Thank you.
    Asked by: Anonymous
A very thin midsole is stitched to the upper and the outsole is then cemented to the shoes. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
