    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather saddle soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with cream polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Next condition the shoes with speed polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take the heel dressing applicator and press against the edge of the heels and soles.

STEP 5: Apply leather lotion as needed for added protection and polish between cleanings.

*For camo printed material, simply rub leather lotion onto print with a white cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp white cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Questionable quality control I love Allen Edmonds shoes and bought my first pairs of oxblood Park Avenues and black Marlowes in 1995 in Germany (they were later stolen). 23 years later I finally bought black Park Avenues at the Cherry Creek store in Denver. I spent several days polishing them (Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier and Pate de Luxe) to the luster I was happy with. When I wore them to work my coworkers and I noticed the leather on the left vamp broke in beautifully, leaving well-polished areas between the creases...just as I remembered from 1995's pairs. The leather on the right vamp, however, broke in entirely differently...the surface looks like shattered glass...the best term I can think of is "spalling." Side by side the left shoe looks elegant and maintains its deep black hue while the right shoe looks cheap and silvery gray. It appears as though totally different grades of leather were used for each shoe. I've since purchased another pair of oxblood Park Avenues and the similar Fifth Avenues in dark brown...both online and both on sale. I love them. Both pairs broke in beautifully. Sadly, my mismatched black Park Avenues should be the apex of my budding collection but they've been relegated to infrequent outdoor nighttime wear so the lack of symmetry is less noticeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worlds Best Dress Shoe Mine are in oxblood. Extremely elegant yet so comfortable you can walk for miles in them. They're my favorite shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blue park avenue Great looking shoe. Fit a little tight width wise but will wear for a couple weeks and then see if it needs a tweak. Quality is great. Colour is awesome. Cheers

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Customer Service This was my first pair of Allen Edmonds, having been a Johnston and Murphy customer for decades. But J&M discontinued their refurbishment service and I cannot find a decent cobbler near me, so based on reviews, I switched since AE still offers one. The Park Avenues arrived and they appear to be very high-quality shoes. I tried them on, carefully walking in the one room of my house that has carpet, and decided they were a little stiff but workable. Took them on a business trip and soon discovered that the sides are cut about a third of an inch too high for my feet and they cut into my ankles. My bad; can't blame the shoe. Figured there was no solution since they shoes are worn now, but I sent a note to customer service. asking for ideas Never heard anything. Called; no answer. Sent another note; no response. So, nice shoes (although they do me no good since they cut my ankles), but AE customer service appears to be non-existent. Very disappointed. Have switched back to J&M.
