STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfortable and handsome I got these when I sent a pair of another style in for recrafting and later was told they could not be recrafted. Allen Edmonds told me I could choose anything in the catalogue that was not more than $395 to replace them. I chose these, and I am extremely pleased with them. The fit comfortably right out of the box and are a pleasure to wear. They also look great. This is a shoe I will wear often./

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now, my favorite Leeds shoe A year ago, I bought the pebble grained brown shoe to add to my Leeds collection--which fits my feet like no other AE shoe. Initially, I was a bit disappointed by color, but as I wear them, the character develops with the creasing in the upper, and I was surprised by the number of times I wear them with the dianite outsole. This is now my favorite "daytime" shoe. In fact, at an AE shoe store recently, the clerk had never seen them, and wanted them. If you're looking for value--scoop these up at this price.

I have two brown belts from Allen Edmonds, but they are much darker than this shoe. What color belt should I get to match the shoe color?

    Asked by: Anonymous
We would recommend the Glass Avenue, Manistee Dress Belt, or Freedom Avenue Belts as coordinating belts for the Leeds 2.0.

Can I get this or a shoe like it with the red sole

    Asked by: Dave35
Unfortunately, the Leeds 2.0 is a clearance/discontinued styles and therefore not eligible for custom orders as only the current stock is available for purchase, while supplies last. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

    Size closest to 9E

Hi I wear Wilbert in 9E and I would say just barely fits in length and the 3rd and 4th finger is pinches a little in 9E. I have about 1/2” of space left in toe box. Leeds and Wilberts are both made on 511 last’s. I would have gone for a 9E on Leeds, but you don’t have it. My question is, should I go for 9.5E or 9.5D or 9EEE Thanks and appreciate your responce in advance!
    Asked by: Aniruddha
Leeds 2.0 is a derivative of the 511 Last and runs about one size smaller and slightly narrower. Recommend you extend both ways or pass.

LEEDS 2.0 Derby Dainite vs McAllester Dainite

I have McAllester Dainite in size 8.5 D. Should I get the same size in the Leeds 2.0 Derby ? Thanks
    Asked by: Ati
The Leeds and McAllister are built on different lasts. Therefore sizing may be different for each. I suggest you read the description of each last on the AE website before making your purchase. Better yet, if their is an AE store in your area, , go there for an evaluation.

    Scuff marks

I got some scuff marks on the toe area and in my haste to try to buff them I accidentally used the heel and sole dressing. I quickly removed it, but now that area is dull and looks terrible. Can this be repaired by using the correct shoe polish and buffing the shoes?
    Asked by: fl_dreamin
We recommend contacting our Recrafting department at or 1-877-495-5564 for assistance.

Other than the sole, is the same as the Gridiron? They look quite simlilar. Thanks

    Asked by: Anonymous
The patterns are very similar and the leather used is the same. The main differences are that the Leeds 2.0 doesn't have a Poron insole, it has tone-on-tone thread, the stitching pattern is slightly different, and it has a Dainite rubber sole. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

What shoe polish should be used for the Leeds 2.0 Brown Country Grain

Also, what should be used for edges
    Asked by: Rex
I've used the brown edge dressing and it seems to be working out well color wise. I tried the neutral shoe polish and I didn't like it. I tried to remove the polish with the leather lotion and I think I got most of it off. The neutral shoe polish is actually a white color so if you look close, you could actually see small whitish spots on the brown. I will be buying dark brown as recommended by AE and trying that soon.

What color polish should I use?

Would dark brown premium polish be the most ideal for these Leeds?
    Asked by: Jeff S
Dark brow in the can or dark brow premium are both good but mine have developed lighter brown areas that require dark brown shoe cream to correct. The premium polish is a polish shoe cream blend but it still requires the cream to get the color evened out. I clean them and then use the cream and finish up with polish.

What color heel and sole edge dressing should be used?

There is either a brown or chili section (the welt?) above the Dainite soles, as well a section of the heel.
    Asked by: Broadus
Due to the special inks, dyes and leather sole combinations used by the cobblers during the finishing process, the edge of the sole tends to be quite unique when the shoe leaves the factory. The Heel and Sole Edge Dressing we offer will provide as close of a match as possible but most may not be able to achieve a factory finish at home as this product is intended for quick touch ups. The Neutral dressing does not contain any pigment, but will still minimize the appearance of scuffs, the Chili will add a reddish brown tone to the edge of the sole, and the Brown will simply add a brown tone. In fact, either product, or a combination of them, can be used on the Leeds 2.0, but the color you choose will depend upon your desired result. We suggest trying the Brown dressing to complement the Brown leather styles.
