    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Thoroughly remove dirt, scuffs and stains using our Suede and Nubuck Cleaning System, following the instructions on the box.

STEP 2: Once the material has dried, spray our Water Protector over the surface of the shoes. Apply regularly between cleanings.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Porter Suede Derby Sneaker is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't match the belt. Do not match this with the Suede Avenue Belt. The colors are off. I bought both the blue Derby Sneaker and the grey Derby sneaker. I bought the Suede Avenue Belt in both blue and grey. When they arrived the colors were very different.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful shoes. These porter derby’s might be the single most uncomfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever paid more than $5 for. No arch support. No padding in footbed. Nearly like walking barefoot. I love AE shoes. I have 6 pairs of AE shoes and a pair of boots. However, they totally missed it with these. I’m not sure how they passed any kind of product testing. They are that bad.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from D fits D and E. But the E size is not the same shoe as the D. BEWARE! The D size has two pads. One built into the shoe, the other the fly insert. You can remove the insert to get a wider E size. The E version of the shoe is not built the same way. There is no second soft sole built into the shoe so you can't remove the sole to go to EE. Why would they do this? They advertise in the description of the shoe you can do this. So what is the purpose of the E anyways? If you can buy the D to cover D and E, why do you need the E? It is stupid things like this that make buying from Allen Edmunds a frustrating experience. I even called the customer support line to confirm the E version had the removable sole, before I bought. I just want to send everything back and be done with them. But where else am I even going to get an E version of a sneaker? Maybe I can stretch it out a bit, that is my only hope at this point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it (so far)! I’ve had mine for two weeks, wearing them about three times each week. Break-in period was practically non-existent; these were comfortable out of the box. Bottom line: I dropped down a half-size while going up to an E width. Some context: this is my first pair of sneakers (that aren’t running shoes) in 20 years so before buying I spent time getting the fit right in the store. I’m a 9.5D in a dress shoe. That sneaker that was too wide in toe box and for my narrow heels, so I dropped down to a 9D. That 9D toe box was tight and I saw the same “right shoe seams rub badly” problem others describe. Removing the insole made the 9D too loose on my whole foot, yet didn’t solve the seam problem. I shifted to a 9E and it fits perfectly. Keeping the insole in makes this a hugely comfortable shoe with great arch support. I’ve worn mine for hours walking around DTLA, through airports and across multiple surfaces, up & down stairs. The color matches black and blue denim well; haven’t tried them with chinos (I’m not a “sneakers with suits” fan...). These work well in casual and “smart casual” dining rooms. I haven’t seen quality issues yet but will update my review if I do. So far these are a home run! Just do your “fit” homework in person first.

What is the country of manufacturing? “Imported” may be OK but it depends on the country of origin. Please add this info to specs going forward.

Who makes this shoe? I bought a pair online and was dissatisfied with the fit. There was a removable insert that I had to remove for a descent fit.

I have many pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes but this shoe is not up to par. Without the insert the shoes are not comfortable or supportive. With the insert they are too small. I would not but another pair.

The Porter Derby is manufactured in Portugal. Because you are having trouble with fit, we would recommend sizing up.

How do we know what size Width we are?

    Asked by: Andrew
Hi Andrew. Thank you for being an Allen Edmonds customer! Each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet, so it’s difficult to recommend a size via email and guarantee a proper fit. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judging the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. If possible, we’d love to have you visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or one of our retail partners for a professional fitting. Our associates are trained to help you find the right fit for the various lasts and styles we offer. We hope you find the shoe that you love!

I just purchased the PORTER SUEDE DERBY SNEAKER in grey and I would like to know which belt(s) would match with this shoe?

    Asked by: ravenzoom
We currently do not offer matching suede belts for the suede Porter sneakers. You may pair them with a belt that complements the leather welt detail. The gray suede Porter derby has a black welt strip, so we suggest a black casual belt. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
