STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

Badlands Comfort Shoe is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 262.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality problems Let me say this is a great shoe if you can get one thats not messed up. I ordered this shoe 3 separate times, and all 3 times the shoe had defects that would definately be noticed. I returned the last pair frustrated, and very disappointed in the quality control. I have quite a few different pairs, and this doesnt compare to the quality of my other pairs i have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought these shoes based on the suggestion of a nephew who just got out of the Navy. Excellent style and presentation. I’ve purchased AE shoes before and have always appreciated their muted style. These are a bit more forward and stylish. My only complaint, albeit a small one, is that I immediately replaced the shoestrings because they didn’t work well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great shoe Just got these two days ago and have been wearing all day so amazingly comfortable they are. I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot but hardly notice it in these shoes -- and they look great too. I definitely plan to get another pair.

    Strandmonk and Badlands size comparison

I own the strandmonk in 9e which is a 65 last. Would the badlands have a similar sizing since it’s built on the same 65 platform?
    Asked by: Sonnie
The Strandmok and the Badlands are constructed on the same 65 last and so the fit will be similar. You may feel a difference in the instep area since the Strandmok is a balmoral and the Badlands is a blucher style. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

Is the Badlands model friendly to the use of orthotic inserts?

    Asked by: Jim
The Badlands style is not designed with a removable insole to accommodate custom orthotics. We suggest visiting a local Allen Edmonds retail location as an associate will be able to assist you in finding the best size and width combination for you with the orthotics. Find a store near you:

I wear the Alumni in size 11 1/2 D. How similar is the fit of the Badlands?

    Asked by: CSW
The Alumnus was made on the 2321 last, which was known to have a wider appearance. The Badlands is made on the 65 last, which was made for a narrow look. At Allen Edmonds, we believe the right fit is vitally important. If you are a first-time Allen Edmonds customer, we recommend a professional fitting by an Allen Edmonds associate at your nearest retail location or an authorized Allen Edmonds dealer.
