    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

MSP Split-toe Blucher is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not up to Allen Edmonds standards I have purchased only AE dress shoes for 25 years. These shoes don’t measure up on quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same as a couple years ago Have bought many AE shoes over the years and as I am on my feet a lot the Road Warrior line had replaced my Park Avenues, 5th Avenues, etc as daily wearers due to comfort. Although the leather wasnt quite as nice a couple coats of polish and they looked quite good. Just received new MSPs and LGAs (my prior 4 pairs of LGAs and 2 of MSPs were wearing down and most had already been recrafted) and what a disappointment. The MSPs have very uneven saddles - the laces gap over an inch on one shoe and touch on the other. Since my prior pairs dont do this I know it isnt my feet. The LGAs both gap more than any of my prior pairs, and as a result have laces that are too short. They also dont have the same AE quasi-orthotic insole - just what looks like leather covered felt. As other brands have evolved high quality rubber soled dress shoes (and with soles that last far longer, always the weakness of the Road Warriors) I am afraid I am done with AE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AE These shoes fit great. They are very similar to the Del Rey. They have a removable insole so you can insert custom orthotics. I am.a registered nurse and wear them to work for comfort the entire day. Also wear them with rolled Levi jeans and white socks for a 1950s look... Great shoes, buy them!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Allen Edmonds Shoes on the Decline As a long time purchaser of Allen Edmonds shoes, I have been dismayed to witness and feel the decline in quality in the past few years. It used to be that AE shoes were comfortable from the first time I wore them. They were in my view, far and away, the best shoes I had ever bought. Not any more. The leather is not as supple as it once was, and the comfort is far, far less than before. Disappointing to see a great American brand decline as this one has. For the first time in 20 years, I bought a shoe last weekend from a different manufacturer. I also heard that AE is moving its manufacturing to somewhere outside the U.S. Perhaps an AE representative would like to comment on that one.

The heels are wearing unevenly and i would like to have them recrafted. Can AE put leather souls on these shoes?

    Asked by: daniel
Hello, Daniel. Thank you for contacting us. The shoes are in fact recraftable and one feature of the service is to put a different type of sole on the shoes. We hope you will be pleased to know that a leather sole can be added to the style.

I bought a pair of the Blucher with the color listed as " Carbon". They were in the brown family. Is this one listed, truly black in color?

    Asked by: mark
The carbon color can be described as a muted grey brown. However, the black color is a true black.

Did production of these move offshore? Why did AE drop the “made where” answer from the product description?

    Asked by: Dave
The MSP style is handcrafted in the Dominican Republic as stated in the description. We're sorry for any confusion. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

If I buy the Road warrior split toe Blucher in walnut color, can I adjust the color close to dark chili by using a darker polish

    Asked by: Rob
Leather gets it's color from a special blend of ingredients during the tanning process and therefore cannot be changed with shoe polish. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

What are the heel/toe drop of each Road Warrior shoe style?

I have an issue with my knees that requires a drop of 8mm or close to it, and lots of cushioning. Thank you.
    Asked by: Nathan12
Allen Edmonds shoes have a heel lift of approximately 1/2" from the bottom of the heel to the bottom of the sole. At Allen Edmonds, we believe the right fit is vitally important. If you are a first-time Allen Edmonds customer, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds retail location to try them on. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
