    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather saddle soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with cream polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Next condition the shoes with speed polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take the heel dressing applicator and press against the edge of the heels and soles.

STEP 5: Apply leather lotion as needed for added protection and polish between cleaning.

    Fit

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Bond Street Cap-Toe Oxford is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfortable dress shoe owned, beautiful and no breaking-in, now I want to upgrade my other shoes Bough the Bond Street in Walnut 9D, in person the color is lighter than it shows on the website, less orange and more yellow, not what I expected but still looks beautiful. The fit is perfect for me. Have been using it for 2 months. The leather and details are beautiful, the shoe looks modern and still looking elegant with this Last (similar to the Park Avenue but with a longer toe cap). In my honest opinion, it looks better than the Park Avenue. But what really impressed me is that it only needed just one day for breaking-in the shoe, after that, it was super comfortable. I think this is because of the leather in the vamp area is soft enough and the sole is flexible enough for a proper break-in (almost non-existent need for break-in). I have to walk a lot and be standing for an extended period of times at work, no problem with these shoes. The sole is amazing, is comfortable, flexible and the rubber in the bottom helps with traction in the carpeted surfaces at work and on wet pavement in Portland, OR and San Francisco, CA. Also, it makes way less noise when walking compared to other dress shoes. I prefer a sole embedded with technology for comfort and traction than a whole leather sole that soaks water and wears faster. I am in love with this shoe (I have never written a review for a shoe), most comfortable dress (work) shoes I have ever owned. I will definitely buy a couple of more pairs (black for sure and coffee maybe).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bond Street could be AE's new flagship! Bond Street 10 EEE (Coffee) My comments after 40-50 wearings Most comfortable dress shoe I have ever worn right out of the box. Exceptional shock absorption properties and still offers very firm support. You can't go wrong with the versatile brown coffe colour. Leather looks better in real life. Most recently a cobbler from the Allen Edmonds Enthusiasts Facebook Group commented on and approved the quality of the leather and put an end to the rumours about inferior corrected grain leather. It is fair to say that "Bond Street" have won many sceptics over. I first bought 10 D but not enough room for the foot expansion by the end of the day and the v-gap was too pronounced. I decided to order 10 EEE and surpricingly the fit was good. Perhaps I should mention that I got just a little more creasing with the EEE because of the extra (in my case unneeded) space in the toebox. But I must say the creasing is not bad. I will see how it holds up and eventually buy the other colours as well. Bond Street could be AE's new flagship.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor design - shoe broke apart within 2 weeks These shoes broke within 2 weeks of me starting to use them. I do not recommend buying this shoe. In short, it's a design flaw in the shoe, and they're not durable at all. As the rubber and leather portions of the sole became separated and broke apart, I could see that the general design of the sole is very poor - this appears to be a problem that would happen with any small amount of everyday wear and tear. The rubber sole is barely held in place with the leather. I had to return them to the company for repair, which takes an inconvenient amount of time: 2-4 weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this shoe I bought these for my 30 year old son’s birthday. He has since raved about the color, the quality and the style. He is a manager with a large corporation and these are now his favorite work shoes. And he is VERY hard to please. Wore the same style and color, black, for the past ten years. He is actually excited about how they look and feel. So yes, you could say I highly recommend.

Rubber pod sole – the sound?

What sound does the rubber pod sole make when walking? Is it hard and loud like a leather sole? Soft and silent like a sneaker? How does it compare to the sound of a Dainite rubber sole?
    Asked by: Anonymous
The sound is way less than a leather sole, because of the front traction rubber pad and the rubber section located in the back area of the heel. I don't own shoes with Danite sole, but I own some boots with a rubber sole and these shoes (Bond) make more sound than my boots but is not annoying at all as when walking with leather soles.

What is a "speed welt"? I'm assuming it's not Goodyear, but Blake--yes?

    Insole materials

Is there any leather in the Shock Form insole. I have seen several layers of padding but no mention of any leather. Is it strong enough to hold the shoe together long term?
    Asked by: Shoenut
If you're referring to the lining that is in direct contact with your foot, yes the shoes have a full leather sock liner. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

Will this be available in other widths? One of the reasons many of us like AE shoes is the option to fit the width precisely.

Do these run wide or narrow compared with the 65 last? If wide then a D might work for me (usually a 14E). If narrow then perhaps the EEE wont be far too wide. Too bad AE is limiting the options AND providing inadequate information to customers.
    Asked by: Anonymous
The Bond Street has a classic fit similar to the Park Avenue, with a slightly chiseled shape. We recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds retail store for a professional fitting on this particular style to see what size and width combination will work best for you. Please know we appreciate your feedback and it will be forwarded to the proper teams for consideration on future offerings. Feel free to contact us again if you have other questions!

Allen Edmonds - so this is on a 64 last instead of a 65 last? Can you explain the difference and also list it in the description??

    Asked by: R
You can expect a similar fit to the 65 last, with a slightly tapered toe and chiseled look, with room for a higher instep, Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

    Type of leather

Up close the leather used on this shoe seemed very uniform in color and somewhat shiny yet matte-finished. QUITE different than that used on the Park Ave. Is this corrected grain / polished cobbler or something else?
    Asked by: Anonymous
As described on the details this is a polished calfskin leather upper. Thank you for your question!

Which last is this shoe made on?

    Asked by: CED
This shoe is built on the new 64 last. Up close it resembled the 65 last but with possibly some extra width and/or room in the toebox (?) Difficult to say, hopefully we'll get a real description soon.
