Fifth Avenue Cap-toe Oxford is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 865.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect. Bought my first Allen Edmonds almost 20 years ago. Still have those shoes and they look barely used. Like I tell my kids, when you pay good money for an excellent product, you'll get your moneys worth.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Uneven staining on the shoes, crooked brogueing, improper stiching I was disappointed to receive the long awaited shoes. Found Uneven staining on the shoes, crooked brogueing, improper stiching. Had to Call customer service twice to report this. I was surprised how this shoe qualified for a full priced item. I own a AE Park avenue and im super satisfied and love wearing them. But my second purchase was not great and frustrating as I had ordered it for an event and now I need to return it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very uncomfortable shoes I’ve been interested to see what all the fuss is about with AE shoes, so I bought a pair and am totally unimpressed. These shoes are among the most uncomfortable I’ve ever worn and they have almost no cushion or support. I will not be purchasing another pair.

What color do you recommend to pair with a navy suit for law firm interviews?

The brown looks extremely dark but the walnut looks too light to be formal. Is the dark chili a good choice for in between? Or does it have a reddish tint?
    Asked by: LAWFIRM
For a Law firm interview, I would probably go with the black. But, I recently purchased the Midnight Blue shade and It would also be fantastic.

is the upper leather soft as the AE Sanford I purchased many years ago?

    Asked by: JC
It is a soft leather, yes. As soft as the what you purchased many years ago is hard to tell for various reasons. However the company does a great job at purchasing leathers that are very consistent year in and year out. The leather on these are soft but not glove leather soft. It is a durable but supple leather that will ultimately gain a amazing patina overtime. Hope this helps.

    Fifth Avenue leather finish

In online photos the Fifth Avenue in black seems to have a very polished finish while the Park Avenue in black seems to be more supple and show the leather grain. Is that a design difference between the two styles or is my perception of the online photos incorrectly drawing this distinction?
    Asked by: resoler
I submit that both have thier own leather character; the 5th does have a bit more shine straight out of the box; than the Park does. However, the suppleness and character of the [light] leather grain in the "Park" give it an extremely distinguished appearance. I posit that you are correct in your observation.
