STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Leeds 2.0 Derby Shoes is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor QC The toe box on both left and right shoes both have clear creases from the skin folds from the animal the leather was derived from. Astounding that such pieces would be selected to use on the most prominent portion of the shoe. With five other pair of AE currently on hand (Saunders, Macneil, MacAllister, two Fifth Avenues) against five previous returns without even trying on the damaged shoes (two consecutive pair of Delrays with cut leather, Nathans with divots in the toe cap, MacKenzies with a small cut by the vamp, and a forgotten style of dirty buck that were yellowed all around the welt), I just decided to keep these because they are the last pair I will buy. With holiday pricing, they were cheap enough to let me care as little as the people now making them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shoe! If you love the original Leeds, but appreciate more comfort, you might love these as much as I do. The combination of the double leather sole and poron insole makes these great shoes if you do a lot of walking or if you're on your feet all day. You get excellent support and comfort without the possible downsides of a rubber sole. Having said that, it would be a good idea to be aware of a few things. 1. The poron insole is not liked by everyone. Some men prefer the traditional leather insole that conforms better than poron does. Also, poron insoles feel hotter in the summer months. 2. These sometimes feel a little tighter because of the poron. The first pair I bought of these was a little tighter than most of my other shoes in the same size. The latest pair I bought fit more true-to-size. 3. The outside vamp design is slightly different than the original Leeds. 4. The newer versions of the Leeds no longer include that little padding thing in the middle of the shoes by the insole. Not sure why AE removed this detail, as it always provided extra comfort when the shoes flex. I really don't know why AE charges so little for these and then charges more for the original. I think these are mostly superior to the original Leeds, but I'm basing my opinion on the comfort mostly. Getting these for $199 is an outstanding value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect! I am very happy with this product. I really have nothing to complain about. I don’t like them as much as my Wilberts but they are not far behind. The oxblood color is phenomenal.

Are the leeds 2.0 designed mainly for formal or casual dressing?

    Edge Dressing Color?

For the Leeds 2.0 in WALNUT, what is the best edge dressing color? I see conflicting recommendations. Some say to use Brown (523) and some say to use Neutral (522). Older posts say to use "Natural" which appears to not be available any longer. Which is best for keeping the edge and soles looking like the original color?
    Asked by: FL_DREAMIN
The Neutral dressing does not contain any pigment, but will still minimize the appearance of scuffs, the Chili will add a reddish brown tone which complements the warmth of the Walnut on some styles. And the Brown will simply add a brown edge. Either color can be used or a combination of them, it really comes down to your personal preference during care and your desired results. Most customers use Neutral for Walnut Styles. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

    Sizing compared to 5 last

How's the fit compared to 5 last? I always wear 7.5 EEE for 5 last. The last time I tried Dundee 7.5 3E and it was loose on me and slipped out from the heel. Should I go with 7.5 2E of 7 3E? I know that I can go and try at the local store but my size is not available there.
    Asked by: Soe
The Leeds is constructed on the 511 last which has a rounded toe; the 65 Last (aka 5 last) has an elongated toe. It is difficult to recommend a size through this channel and guarantee a proper fit because each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and exchange if necessary based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. Some customes purchase both sizes to try and keep the size that fits best. Products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.

Is it possible to have the LEEDS 2.0 DERBY SHOE made in Brown Burnished Calf?

    Asked by: Anonymous
We currently do not offer custom leather options. We suggest taking a look at the Dundee 2.0 for a similar look; it's offered in Brown Burnished Calf. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Can I still buy the original Leeds? I have several pairs of the original Leeds. I do not like the Leeds 2.0 and will not buy them.

    Asked by: Jim
Inventory is limited on the original Leeds style as it was discontinued several months ago. Feel free to contact our customer assistance center directly at cacmail@allenedmonds.com or 1-800-235-2348 (Mon-Fri 7:00AM-6PM CST) so they can help you search for your specific size in our retail locations.

What is the difference between Leeds and Leeds 2.0 shoes

What changes have been made between the old Leeds vs. the new Leeds 2.0 shoes. Thanks.
    Asked by: mac
I own both, so I can tell you there are some key differences. The 2.0 has a much softer insole, yet the same sturdy support of the double leather sole. The 2.0 fits slightly snugger in the toe area. The 2.0 is also quieter when walking on hard surfaces because the leather sole is different than the old Leeds. I would also say the 2.0 is just slightly more heavy. The piping at the top of the foot entrance is very different too -- the 2.0 has the raw, casual look. Both are great shoes.

    Is the Poron insole removable?

Are the Leeds 2.0 easier to use with custom orthotics/insolses compared to the original Leeds? If so I love this move to leather soles shoes with removable insoles.
    Asked by: Chris
I would say, no. The poron insole makes the toe area feel slightly more snug, but it's not tight. If you really want to use orthotics with the new Leeds, I suggest ordering up 1/2 size. The new Leeds is very comfortable and supportive, so you might not need orthotics depending on your situation.

Can the Leeds 2.o in black be delivered with a danite sole?

    Asked by: Anonymous
I expect so. Working with the sales representative at an AE store I ordered and had my Leeds 2.0 crafted with a full rubber sole (not Danite). There was an upcharge of $40 but I received the sole I wanted. Note the website does have an option to choose your sole but it does not indicate all the sole choices you can order. I worked through the sales rep in an AE store, you may be able to special order by calling but I have not tried that.

Is the brown country calf aviable with a leather sole

    Asked by: Anonymous
You could probably custom order a leather sole through a sales representative at an AE store. You may be able to custom order it by calling AE directly. Note there is an option to choose a custom sole on the website but it does not have all options available. I ordered my black Leeds with a full rubber sole (not Danite). The upcharge was $40 but I received the sole I wanted. Good luck.
