STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Wilbert Comfort Shoe is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 531.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST pair of shoes I've ever owned!! I own 6 pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes. They all fit extremely well but the Wilbert stands out as the very best. Super comfortable even when I was in Rome, walking for miles on those cobblestone streets. The fit is superb. My only wish is that they made the Wilbert in a black as well. David San Gabriel, CA

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable - Good Looking - Soles did not wear well at all Sole wear was not good - not much wear and heels show a hole - says it can be recrafted but went to the store and said only with same sole which did not last. Not happy. Other AE shoes great this was a disappointment especially wear and not recraft options for alternative sole. Your web site does not show this as a limitation Long term many AE shoes and this maybe last pair of AE I purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a sturdy and comfortable walking shoe. The Wilbert is a fine shoe. For my 11 / AA foot, it is one of the few possibilities available to me. I only wish Allen Edmonds would offer more styles in unusual sizes - even if it meant having to wait for a special order since it would not make sense for them to stock such rarely ordered sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I own 2 pair in black. Now I am buying the 1951 Brown pair. The Wilbert is great shoe. All of my shoes are now Allen Edmonds because it is the last great quality shoe manufacturer in America offering narrow sizes (A and AA). If you take proper care of Allen Edmonds' shoes, they will easily last you 8 to 10 years with great look and comfort. For a great office or business attire shoe, the shell cordovan wing-tip is tops and no one else makes a better competing cordovan wing-tip. I love to travel in the Wilbert because it gets me through airports stress-free. It was one of the two pairs of shoes I packed for tough work in the Middle East and Africa. In Sudan I walked from Khartoum (current capital) to Omdurman (ancient capital) in these shoes and felt great at the end of the day.

    Still made in USA?

I noticed that the website states these are now "imported". Does this mean the Wilbert is not made in the USA anymore?
    Asked by: AB
Thank you for your interest in the Wilbert shoe. The country of Origin is the Dominican Republic. We hope this helps.

Is this the replacement for the AE Ashton?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Not really. The Ashton has a removable insole and was on the 678 last, not the 511. The leathers are also quite different between the two styles.

What belt and shoe polish do your recommend for the brown Wilbert (1951)?

I was in the Allen Edmund's store in Oak Brook IL, and the store attendant who was extremely helpful and I could not find a belt to match or even blend with the brown Wilbert (1951). Why would you not make belts from the same lot as the shoes? Please advise what belt you recommend? Thank you
    Asked by: JGC3
We would recommend the neutral polish for your brown Wilberts. You may also want to try the Cognac Brogue Street as a coordinating belt.

I had a pair of these with lighter, contrasting stitching and loved 'em. I see you offer sole options now, what about stitching?
