    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Corsico Italian Dress Shoe is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic dress shoe with some caveats These were my first pair of AE's and I bought them when they were on sale. I'm a size 9D on Brannock so I went for the same on these and while the initial fit was good, the leather has since broken in and now are a touch loose and I also noticed that the ball of my foot sits slightly behind the widest part of the shoe. My heel also does not sit in the heel cup and slides around quite a bit. In hindsight I should have gone for an 8.5. When stopping in my local AE store to make a new purchase I mentioned this to the associate who was helping me and he grabbed a couple of tongue pads and my heel now sites squarely in the heel cup with minimal slippage. Having said that, the arch support in these shoes is the best out of any dress shoe I've had so far. I have very flat feet and the fact that the arch support presses closer to my heel rather than the ball of my foot (what most other makers I've experienced end up doing) I don't experience nearly as much fatigue as I otherwise would have. The cemented construction might be off putting to many people but I'm okay with it for now, especially since I rotate between five pairs of shoes during the work week (four during the warmer months since one pair is a dress boot). The leather quality is great and when polished with good quality cream and wax polish (I use Saphir) they take on a great glossy shine and I've managed to get a mirror polish on the toe area. Good value for the money here.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Runs very small I ordered a pair of these shoes to go with the rest of my dress shoes. I ordered the same size as my Allen Edmonds Boulivard that I had been fitted for in the store. To my surprise these shoes run much smaller on length and width than my Boulivards. I tried to call customer service too exchange them but they will not do anything for me. In my opinion you should only buy shoes that you are fitted for in the store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful dress shoes I bought these shoes because they were recommended by my taylor and I could not be more pleased. The leather and craftsmanship is of the highest quality and they are extremely comfortable. I will be purchasing more from AE!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Color not like shown but 2nd pair was closer The first pair they sent was a totally different color than the picture showed. It was much, much lighter and was not burnished at all. They sent a second pair from their store in Dallas. It was darker, but still not as dark as the picture, but close enough. It had a bit of burnish on it but not like the amount shown on the picture.

Difference between C and B width

I own several pairs of AE shoes in sizes 11 1/2 or 12 in a C width that fit well. Some are over 30 years old. Have always purchased from Men's stores where I could try them on. There seem to be few styles available in C width, but a better selection in B width. Most concerned about width at the heel. Are B and C nearly interchangeable? What do you suggest I do?

You can expect a difference of 3/16" in volume all around the shoe. You can try them to see if you feel comfortable in it. We offer an easy Returns Policy. Do all A&E shoes run in the same sizes regardless of style?

I'm trying to figure out what size to buy for an on line order. My most common size is 10 1/2 but I am currently wearing an A&E shoe (different style) which I noticed is a 9 1/2 so am wondering if I'd be a 9 1/2 in all A&E shoe styles.

Thank you for reaching out to Allen Edmonds. Your sizing may differ depanding on the last you wear. For example, the 65 last is a more narrow last. However, the 201 last has a higher cone, providing more room for a higher instep.

What last is the Corsico and is it recraftable?

    Asked by: TS
The Italian Collection is not constructed on our traditional lasts. This style has the sleek profile of Italian shoe but with the comfort that comes from the more generous American style toe box. Due to the construction methods used on the Corsico, this style is not eligible for our Recrafting services. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Why is it that many of your shoes do not come in EE?

I continue to look for shoes, find one that I like only for it to not be available in EE size. This is frustrating. E is not wide enough and EEE is too wide.

Would this be a good shoe for someone with high arches and above average width feet?

I usually purchase Allen Edmonds in EEE. Some lasts are a poor fit regardless of width.
    Asked by: George
It is vitally important to visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or retail partner for a professional fitting to increase your chances of finding a proper fit. If that's not possible, typically we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judge the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes.   Keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip.  Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.

What is the right polish for these in Cognac?

The product care page says leather lotion but I would think polish would be needed for a good shine.
    Asked by: Anonymous
We recommend the Neutral Premium Shoe Polish. We do not have a matching shoe polish for this color, but the Walnut or Dark Brown may be used. We recommend trying them in an inconspicuous area of the shoe to see if you like the results. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
