    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Thoroughly remove stains using the Suede and Nubuck Cleaning System, following the instructions on the box.

STEP 2: Take the heel dressing applicator and press against the edge of the heels and soles.

STEP 3: Once the material has dried, spray waterproofer over the surface of the shoes.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Normandy Cap-Toe Boots is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 178.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look, too roomy I'd read scary reviews about quality control with these, but was happy with mine when they arrived- no QC issues, and look very handsome- I love how soft the kudu leather is. The downside though is that, while the site says they run true to size, my 10.5's are very roomy inside..... I didn't want to go through the hassle of a return, and feared getting another pair with quality control issues, so I determined to "make them work," lacing them up as tightly as possible. My feet still slide around inside, and now I'm basically stuck with them. My next option is to try buying thicker socks, but I"m irked that I'd have to. They're wearable...... just not perfect. I wish I'd exchanged them for a half size down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I now have 10 pairs of Allen Edmonds, thank you, I wear them proudly. LeRoy Perry I forgot to mention that the staff is doing a tremendous job, all the new styles, when your staff is happy, so are the customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from B34 Last I've fallen in love with this boot over the past year and now own far too many varieties of it and wear them all the time. The B34 last a full-size down on my low-instep, slightly-narrow foot gives me a snug fit and not too much extra toe room, which feels great with the supple kudu. The new edition with the slightly narrower, taller last is not as confidence-inducing a fit for my foot, but the construction and materials feel thicker and more durable. I really hope the B34 last lives on in another model if this does transition to the APL last for good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best looking boot out there This is by far my favorite boots, I don't have many right now apart from my current wolverines Adrian cap-toe I got from Nordstrom during their anniversary sale but between the two I like the Normandy a bit more in terms of style, the only thing I can think of that this would be made better is if they have the vibram in the outsole and not just in the heel area. The kudu leather is durable and soft. I can see the leather will get better with age. The yellow lace looks amazing than in the pictures and it comes with a oiled lace as well that looks good with chinos. Last Fall to spring I only have the wolverines and now I have this pair for rotation. And one last thing I got this on a very good deal from AE. Thanks!

Why doesn’t this product ship to Canada?

    Asked by: Greg
I was able to purchase these on a different site and have them shipped to Canada. Frustrating that I couldn’t deal directly with Allen Edmonds! Calling a boot the Normandy and not making it available to ship to Canada misses the mark incredibly.

This question is not really related to the Normandy, but I heard that this boot was inspired by WWII boots produced by AE. Would AE consider posting a photo of these from that time? I would also be interested in finding out the WWII boots make up. I have 12 pair of AE but this information may just get me to buy a few more .
    Asked by: Shoe nut
Thank you for your inquiry. We did manufacture boots for soldiers during WWII, unfortunately the pattern, manufacturing specs, and detailed photos no longer exist. There is very little documented history on it. Keep in mind, our historical archives for the company burned with everything else during the January fire of 1984. The Normandy is a modern day style that was designed using the inspiration taken from that boot. It is not the same boot, it is not the same pattern or materials. It is simply a style that was inspired by those combat boots that were made decades ago. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Does this boot come with alternative laces?

I have seen many photos of the Normandy boot posted online with flat waxed cotton laces that match the color of the boot. Are these alternative laces provided with the boot, or were these laces purchased separately?
    Asked by: matt1234
The Normandy is shipped with two pairs of laces. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

    Rubber soles in the future?

Given that these have a rough and outdoorsy look to them, might they be offered with a rubber sole at some point? Given where I work and where I'd be wearing them, I'm concerned that the leather sole may not hold up well (lots of concrete and pavement, rough patches, etc.).
    Asked by: Anonymous
The Normandy is eligible to be custom ordered with a different sole. Simply check the 'Custom Sole" option under the size/width menu and choose the type of sole you'd prefer. The Dainite sole is one of our most dense and durable rubber soles. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
