    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

McTavish Oxford Wingtip Dress Shoe is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great looking shoe. Runs long and narrow. Good style, like this over distressed look. Had to return. Narrow and ran long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looks, comfort, and craftsmanship! I am very pleased with my tan McTavish (4653) shoes. The styling, comfort, and craftsmanship are all excellent. The Horween Dublin leather is beautiful and required no break-in period at all. The lug sole gives the shoe a casual look that pairs well with chinos/jeans and open-collar button-down shirts. I haven't had the occasion to wear them with a jacket and slacks but they would also work with that combination. There were no quality problems at all with my pair. The sizing (12D) is consistent with my other AE shoes. I wanted to get a black pair but AE changed the sole color from the 4650 model to the 4652. The old model (4650) had a contrasting sole that I thought looked great - the newer model (4652) has an all-black sole. For this reason, I purchased a pair of black Strandmoks (5555). I am very happy with that purchase, too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just not for me... Before I start, let me say the quality of these shoes is outstanding. This was my first attempt at buying Allen Edmond shoes. I loved them, but just couldn't keep them. I couldn't get the right size (at least what was available) to fit my feet. I almost always wear 11.5 with a normal width. Nothing special. I originally ordered the 11.5 in a D width. When I tried them on the width seemed ok but they were too long causing my feet to slip. I returned them and went for a size 11.0 with a D width. The length fit on these but now the width was too narrow. I was planning to try another size, but the girl I spoke with on the phone (great customer service by the way...) said the only other width available was EEE and these would almost definitely be too wide for me. I gave up after that and ended up purchasing a similar pair from another well known shoe brand. My point with this review is that the shoes are great and I would probably give them another try if I could find a store nearby to try on various sizes. My foot size/shape is pretty standard so it surprises me that they didn't have something for me. I'm really happy with the other brand that I bought but still have interest in owning a pair of AE's someday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Commando sole Great shoe; top-notch materials assembled by people who know what they're doing. Yes, they're more expensive than typical mall store shoes, but you can tell where your money went. The lug "Vibram" type rubber sole is helpful --and safer -- here in wintry Michigan. It's also quieter on my hardwood floors.
