    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Rainier Split-toe Blucher Boot is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from more over priced foreign shoes Once good quality, now a not worth it. I'll pay for quality, but not a name, sorry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great looking boot with Quality Control Issues Made in America, great quality leather, recraftable ,good looking boots at a great price, but can't recommend based on the quality of two pairs ordered. Pair 1: Lots of loose threads and stitches over threads, welt cut short on right foot that made the toe box look so uneven from above where on one shoe it was normal and on the other it was underneath the toe box, the stitching was almost on the edge on that boot. It would have been a seconds or sample sale on any other company not sure why AE would deem this pair fine to be a normal product. Went to a physical store to exchange, but they didn't carry it, but the salesperson was very helpful in returning it and placing a new order with the same sales price. Pair 2: Some loose threads, not as bad. The toe box and welt are clean, but the heel on the left shoe was cut smaller by 1-2mm from the sole and it seems to have a little movement (like the glue was not cully applied) and the heel does not seem to be nailed. There was also a piece of the liner that was cut 3-5mm bigger than the outer thus protruding where the laces begin. the fit was a tiny bit looser than pair 1, but the fir is great with boot socks. Not going to the hassle of returning pair 2, as the material and look is good, but these should have been seconds or sample sale. Based on quality of two pairs ordered probably not buying other shoes from this company online rather be a pair from their store.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from QC ISSUES WITH AE LATELY Not sure what happened to AE’s quality, but this is the third purchase in a row with sub-par quality. None of my purchases were seconds, but all should have been. The left boot had a small tear and scuffs, and as another reviewer stated was not put together straight. Took the boots to my leather shop and the owner said he could not believe the left boot was allowed to ship. Called customer support and they offered to exchange but my size is an issue and this was actually my second choice, as the original boot I ordered (and received acknowledgement on the purchase) had the purchase cancelled. I have 11 pairs of AE, but it may be time to move on to another brand without these issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Issues with the sole The uppers are extremely soft leather with nice looking pebble grains, and I really liked them. The brown color was darker than it looks on the website, but I like it dark. I use 10D on my other AE shoes, and the 10D fit for this was just right. But... the sole is terrible. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes, and both of them had an issue with the right heel not being straight (put them on a flat surface, and they are not straight). The stitching on the bottom is also uneven, and the lugs were not centered on any shoe before they were stitched. There was no discomfort, but I expected better. Ended up returning both the pairs.

What is Italian Nappa “calfkin” leather? Is it goat/sheep skin? Is this a full grain leather with pebble grain stamped on the leather?

    Asked by: S007

Is this sole considered slip resistant?

Is this sole considered slip resistant? I wish you include a picture of the sole. Thank you
    Asked by: Jay
The sole is AE's version of a Vibram lug sole. It is rubber and on slick surfaces, it may slip. Designed to easily handle the trail. Not icy pavement.

    7 eyelets but no hooks

Why are the top three eyelets not hooks? Without hooks, it seems like these boots would be a pain to get on/off. I love them but the lack of hooks is preventing me from buying them.
    Asked by: rocco1109
The laces are plenty long to allow easy foot in and out. Actually, I never lace thru the top eyes, making them REAL easy walkers.
