    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

    Ask & Answer
Higgins Mill Weatherproof Boot with Chromexcel Leather is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tongue Natural leather very nice. The red sole has a nice touch. I ordered a Higgins black also and the black did not have a loop for the laces to go through to hold tongue in place. I was pleased when the natural chromexcel came and they added the lace loop on the tongue. The boot without the tongue loop has a tendency for the tongue to slide to the side, out of place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remarkable Boot, perfectly versatile The Higgins Mill is a remarkable boot. This color way (Natural/red Dainite) is highly versatile. Dress it up or down, lace it all of the way or leave a speed lace or two vacant, the choice is yours. The red Dainite sole is subtle from a top-line view, but noticeable enough from a profile view to spark attention, all without being too loud. The quality of these boots remain unmatched. If you don't own a pair of boots on this last, you should visit your local AE store to be properly fitted. I wear an 11M in athletic shoes, a 10.5E in the Park/Fifth avenue, a 10D in the Landon, and a 10.5D in the Higgins Mill and Patton. The Higgins Mill is a boot that you can't wait to wear out, as it just gets better looking with patina and proper care. You should absolutely buy this boot!

Checking on size? I wear a 10.5 D in the 65 last but wondered if I could wear a 10.5 B in this boot? I heard they ran a little wide.

    Asked by: Jason5

I’ve found some AE boots run small, are these true to size?

Both of my feet measure 11.5D on a Brannock device. All of my AE shoes are 11.5D, with certain pairs being slightly snug, such as the McAllister. When it comes to AE boots I’ve had some issues. Years ago I bought the Eagle County boot in an 11.5D and it was way too tight. I also just recently returned the Ranger boot, also purchased in 11.5D because it was very both tight and short. I could feel my big toe touching the front of boot and it was squeezing all around my foot. The only AE boot that fit nicely in 11.5D is the pair of Caen boots in suede, which are actually a pleasantly roomy 11.5D. I’m starting to think AE boots run 1/2 size small, but these Caen’s were a perfect fit. How does the last the Higgins Mill is built on compare to the last the Caen is built on?
