RALEIGH DENIM WORKSHOP FOR ALLEN EDMONDS

Art Meets Craft

Black selvedge denim woven in Louisiana on looms from the famous White Oak plant is his blank canvas. Artist and Designer Victor Lytvinenko hand paints each piece, envisioning the shoe it will become. It’s then given to our artisans in Port Washington for precision cutting, sewing and assembling into our Strand oxford on the same machines that have made thousands of shoes in the hands of those makers.

MEET OUR ICONS

Essentials that define sophistication for generations of our enthusiasts. Time-tested staples that will be with you every step of your journey. As the nature of work changes, our most sought-after styles are evolving too. From reimagined lug sole dress shoes to elevated sneakers, this is the next era of must-haves everyone needs in their closet.

the Park Avenue

With over two million pairs sold since it was first introduced in 1982, this sleek-yet-substantial cap-toe is a forever dress shoe worn by business leaders, cultural figures and several US presidents.

the Randolph

When it was released in 1992, our streamlined slip-on instantly became one of our most popular designs. This year we’re doubling down on that success with a sneaker inspired by the original design.

the Strandmok

Since 2013, this more casual update to our Strand dress shoe has raised the bar for workplace style with its combination of standout brogue detailing and durably comfortable Dainite rubber soles.

The Artist Statement

“I want things to feel personal to everyone that puts on anything I’m part of designing. A one of one piece of wearable art is something no one else will ever have but you.”

Individual Masterworks in the Making

The meaning of what we wear is as important as the piece itself. We build classics designed to make you feel different, more up for adventure, ready to grow. Pieces of the canvas used to create your individual shoes are included with your pair of one of 22 Strand oxfords. An individual masterwork that’s uniquely yours.

Handcrafted by us

Every piece of the shoe is selected by Victor and then given to our experts in Port Washington, Wisconsin to be built into our iconic Strand oxford by 48 pairs of hands over 212 steps.

HANDPAINTED SELVEDGE DENIM

Made with individually numbered canvases from Artist and Designer, Victor Lytvinenko, each pair is a one-of-one piece of art that’s completely unique to you.
